    What d yu knw abut Edgar Snw, an American jurnalist? Share what yu knw with yur grup.
    Edgar Snw Edgar Snw arrived in Shanghai in July f 1928. Frm 1928 t 1932, he wrked as a crrespndent fr several freign newspapers in Shanghai. In September 1933, his first bk “Far Eastern Frnt” was published in Lndn. In this bk, Edgar Snw laid bare the truth f the Japanese imperialists’ brutal aggressin against China.
    In July 1936, with the help f Mme Sng Qing-ling, Edgar Snw arrived at Yan’an. In July 1937, he made fur mnths f careful bservatins in Yan’an and interviewed with Ma Zedng, Zhu Enlai and ther leading figures f the Cmmunist Party f China (CPC) as well as senir leaders f the Red Army. His interviews with Ma Zedng had nt nly dispelled his previus dubts and misgivings abut China and given birth t the bk “Red Star Over China,” but als cultivated a life-lng friendship with the leaders f the CPC.
    Then the bk has been translated int mre than 20 languages and is cnsidered the first bk t intrduce the Chinese revlutin t the western wrld.After returning t the United States, Edgar Snw wrte a lt fr newspapers and magazines t intrduce the CPC and the Red Army t the American peple.
    Edgar Snw died in his hme in Geneva n February 15, 1972, just fur days befre President Richard Nixn made his histric trip t China. After his death, part f his ashes was buried at the Weiming Lake in Peking University in China and the remaining was buried n the shres f the Hudsn River in the United States.

    演讲稿是生活中一种常见的应用文体,是一种用来交流思想、经验,表达主张、见解的文稿,具有宣传、教育和鼓舞等作用。演讲稿以简单句为主要表达形式,语言具有感染力。写作时还要注意适当地使用关联词承前启后。演讲稿的时态以现在时态为主。人称以第一、第三人称为主。
    演讲稿一般由称呼语、正文和结束语三部分组成。常用的称呼语有Dear friends, Ladies and gentlemen, Hnurable judges等,但也常用Gd mrning / Gd afternn / Gd evening, everyne! Hell, everyne!等句子开头。
    人物介绍类写作属于记叙文的范畴,以记叙和描写为主。写作要有重点,分清主次。发生在一个人身上的事情很多,选材时要就此人突出的事迹或成就重点描写。在描写和叙述的过程中,应该对所介绍的人物的行为和事迹进行适当的评论,或描述自己的感受。
    这类写作可以把全文分为三段:第一段:开门见山,简要介绍人物身份及成就。第二段:采用“顺叙”的方式,具体介绍其学习及工作经历。第三段:用评价性话语总结全文,达到画龙点睛的效果。
