This big change is the result f a new prgram at his schl. Starting frm last term, his schl has made husewrk part f the students’ hmewrk in rder t imprve their life skills.

Wang Dan, 13, has learned several life skills thrugh the prgram, including cking. “I used t be afraid f fire,” she said. But she tried t vercme（克服）her fear and cmplete her cking tasks.
At the same time, she als learned hw tired her mther is after ding husewrk every day. On Mther’s Day, she made a cake fr her mther t shw her thanks. “I’ve begun t better understand my parents and want t help them mre,” she said.
Other schls in Xi'an are als develping prgrams t teach their students life skills. On May 2nd, anther middle schl held a life skill cmpetitin. Students had t cmplete many tasks, including cking and flding clthes. They shwed their skills and prved（证明）that they are grwing up.
