Hundreds f hurs f survey ftage has revealed a rare mammal in the suth-west f Ri Grande d Sul state in Brazil. Wildlife camera traps have recrded ftage f a giant anteater(食蚁兽) wandering thrugh scrubland in Espinilh State Park in the state f Ri Grande d Sul, Brazil. It is the first time since the 1890s that this large mammal has been seen in the suthwest f the state. Experts think the anteater came frm Ibera Natinal Park in Argentina, where a majr re wilding prject has been underway since 2007.
The anteater was sptted by Brazilian bilgist Fabi Mazim as he was reviewing hundreds f hurs f ftage fr a wild if e survey. “The animal seems t be in very gd cnditin and established in the area,” says Mazim. “At the mment it is impssible fr us t determine whether it is male r female, ne r even several different individuals.”

Hundreds f hurs f survey ftage has revealed a rare mammal in the suth-west f Ri Grande d Sul state in Brazil. Wildlife camera traps have recrded ftage f a giant anteater(食蚁兽) wandering thrugh scrubland in Espinilh State Park in the state f Ri Grande d Sul, Brazil.
