Wang Fang, a Suzhu native, has given her heart and sul t Kunqu Opera. Wang, wh has twice wn the Plum Perfrmance Award—China’s tp award fr theater and pera perfrmances—started t learn the traditinal art frm in 1977.
Brn with a meldic vice, Wang lved t sing and dance when she was little. She perfrmed quite ften, and was admitted int the Suzhu Kunqu Opera Trupe (剧团) when she was in middle schl.
