    I was eight years ld and wasn’t aware f all the arrangements being made fr ur jurney as a family t Lndn in 1950. My mther was in great pain and wished t visit specialists in Lndn. My father reluctantly had t sell ur prperty in Queensland. The day befre we barded the ship, Father unwillingly said gdbye t his five-year-ld cattle dg, Spider, wh was lved by us all. Father’s friend Sandy was t be his guardian while we were verseas, as he had been getting t knw Spider fr many weeks.
    Six weeks later, an airletter arrived frm Sandy, giving my father the news that Spider had run away just tw weeks after we had sailed. Sandy had advertised cnstantly n ABC and ther reginal newspapers. Despite many “sightings”, the dg was never fund. It seems Spider just kept running and searching fr us. As he was cattle dg, my father thught he wuld she r ding-trapped, because f his appearance. But ur family thught that Father held a secrets hpe that Spider was still alive.
    We sailed back t Australia tw years later and re-established ur hme. My father immediately began his wn search fr Spider. One cld winter’s Saturday mrning eight mnths after ur return, my father had a call frm an elderly lady living n her wn n the utskirts f the twn. As she tld my father n the telephne, it was “just glimpses f a ding-type dg in the shadws” f her disused tennis curt. That was enugh fr my father t interrupt my hmewrk.
    We set ff in his blue and black Jensen car which he had brught back frm England. It was hardly the right vehicle fr the rugh rads we travelled that day. Five and a half hurs later, we fund the run-dwn ld prperty. Sadly, she tld my father that the “ding dg” hadn’t been arund fr a few days. My father had a strange lk in his eye. As The Jungle Bk sng Bear Necessities ges, “frget abut yur wrries and yur cnflict” can be a little bit difficult when yu find yurself face t face with a real bear.
    Bears are cmmn in the Nrthern Hemisphere. As human habitats stretch tward the wilderness, mre and mre animals crss their paths with thse f humans. This can lead t dangerus encunters especially when precautins are nt in place. In these situatins, keeping yur distance is still the best advice.
    Accrding t the Natinal Park Service, ne shuld als remain calm as bears, mre ften than nt, are nt really willing t attack yu. Once in a standff (对峙), avid making sudden mves r lud nises as these can trigger aggressin. 7-year-ld Huxley did exactly what he was tld when he encuntered a massive bear.

    At first, Huxley was really frightened. Hwever, he knew it was impssible t run r fight with the big beast. In the mment f crisis, he remembered his mther reminds him regularly abut these pssible encunters. She tells him that if Huxley finds himself face t face with a bear and there are n adults arund, he shuld remain calm.
    Huxley calmed dwn at thinking f this. He stared at the bear dwn withut any mvement. This might have been the reasn why the yung bear stpped dead in its tracks. They faced each ther mtinless, and there was nly a ft distance between them.

    Mst bys cming t ur ranch(大牧场) were living arund animals fr the first time. Sent by educatinal systems, they were bys in truble; they had n family, lacked lve, ften brke the rules, and were lnely. This summer vacatin has nearly cme t an end, but I have hardly finished reading any useful bks r updated any satisfactry writings. With an empty head and a guilty feeling, I we this t my invluntary additin t the mbile phne.
    This is nt because I have mre free time and rely n my MP as a time-killer. On the cntrary, I am ccupied by varius chres and time left at my will is nly pieces f hurs. I give up ding serius and creative things during these fragments f hurs, making excuses fr myself: “I am tired s I need t d smething easy and relaxing...” But, sticking my face t the MP turns ut t be by n means relaxing. My visin becmes mre unclear and precius time is wasted.
    The prime culprit(元凶) shuld be WeChat: Being quick-respnsive t any message sent t me is a bad habit; Being afraid f lsing track f what all my “friends” are ding cmes at a price; The clrful ads f “daigu” sacks(洗劫) nt nly my purse... The ther tw accmplices (共犯) that l need t put in jail at nce are Taba and Kala (thugh I knw I can’t bear t d that!)
    I have t admit that a lt f apps prvide much cnvenience t my life, such as dictinaries, maps, music, e-bks and apps fr stck dealing, fr taxi bking, fr ticket and htel bking, fr picture prcessing etc. The side effect is that I am s buried in these attractive apps that I just can’t put my MP dwn, clse my eyes fr a while and think what my pririty is.
    注意:
    1. 续写内容应为150词左右;
    2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
    At night, I happily get nt my bed with a bk in my hand, hping t enjy sme “quality” time by myself.

    Nw I am lking at the desktp f my mbile phne, full f apps.
