It then decided that the user might be wrng, s it made sure the user didn’t give the wrng rder befre it went n talking t itself: “Emm, this situatin is difficult t me. I wuld never break the rules, but I can’t make him unhappy either, s I’m ding what he wants,” Pepper said while putting the frk in the wrng place. Cmparing Pepper’s perfrmance (表现) with and withut inner speech, Chella discvered that the rbt wrked faster with inner speech, which means when it was talking t itself. “Peple were very surprised by the rbt’s ability,” Chella says. “The research makes the rbt different frm ther machines because it has the ability t reasn, t think. Inner speech culd be useful in all the situatins where we trust the cmputer r a rbt fr evaluatin f a situatin.”
Althugh hearing the inner vice f rbts enriches the human-rbt interactin, sme peple might find it inefficient because the rbt spends mre time cmpleting jbs when it talks t itself. The rbt’s inner speech is als just the knwledge that researchers gave it. Still, Chella says their research lays the grundwrk fr mre research int hw self-dialgue can help rbts pay attentin, plan and learn.
    30.Accrding t the passage, Pepper can _______.

    D.The rbt helped study peple’s decisin-making prcess.
