    2. Cultivate students' ability t talk abut hw t becme an astrnaut and life in space ;
    3. Instruct students t use functinal sentences f the dialgue such as “ first f all, I am nt sure, s what might be .. I guess.. I wnder…I am curius…)apprpriately.

    2. Cultivate students' ability t guess the meaning f wrds in listening; discuss with their peers hw t becme a qualified astrnaut and describe the life in space.
    Part 1: Listening and Speaking
    Step 1: Lead in
    Predictin
    The teacher can ask students t predict what the listening text is abut by lking at the pictures.

    Step 2: Then, play the radi which is abut an interview a. And after finishing listening fr the first time, the students need t slve the fllwing tasks.

    Part 2: Listening and Talking
    Step1:Listen t the tape, which is abut life in space fr the first time, and then ask the students t slve the fllwing tasks.
    Max is interviewing Captain Brwn abut his life in space. Listen t the interview and answer the questins.

    Step 2: Speaking Prject
    Wrk in grups.
    1. Wrk in pairs. Discuss whether yu wuld like t be an astrnaut in the future and give yur reasns. Use what yu have learnt frm the interview t help yu.
    EXAMPLE
    A: Yu knw, I think being an astrnaut wuld be cl.
    B: D yu want t wrk in space in the future?
    A: I'm nt sure, but I think it might be t difficult fr me. There are s many requirements.

    2. 2. Wrk in grups. Imagine yu are ging t a space camp and Captain Brwn has been invited t give a talk. Discuss the questins yu wuld like t ask him and then make a list.

    Number questins are typically related t: time, telephne numbers, addresses, prices, weights, distances, etc. When yu listen fr numbers, yu need t pay special attentin t big numbers as well as thse that sund quite similar, such as thirteen and thirty, furteen and frty, etc.
