Awards & Rules
Firstplace winners in each categry are awarded a prize f $1,000; secndplace winners receive $500; thirdplace winners receive $250.

[2023·武汉部分学校高三质量检测]This week, my scial media feed was flded with pictures f a festival that is typically celebrated in March in Nepal. Fr me grwing up, the festival, which is a Nepalese traditin, had less reginal significance and was largely cultural, prviding me with a day t play with clr and water with my belved family and friends.
As an internatinal student, being away frm hme means being discnnected frm cultural traditins. While a cultural discnnect is unavidable, when I see the news headlines r psts that friends share n scial media, being ignrant abut what's happening back hme fills me with penitence. It had been a while since I read articles abut what was happening in Nepal. Even catching up with family members and ld friends takes weeks t achieve.

The news cycles in the US and at hme are changing cnstantly, and can smetimes feel astnishing. But at least here in Rchester, the everyday chat keeps yu knwing what's happening utside the campus. Keeping up with news frm hme, hwever, requires the extra individual effrt I just can't spare time fr while dealing with everything else I have t d here.
Talking t ther internatinal students, I find the feeling seems t be cmmn fr many f us. Maybe that's just the reality f living abrad, and all we can d is ur best.
