Step 1 Revisin
1. Changes in Sunshine Twn
Help the students t review the changes in Sunshine Twn. Give them chances t shw themselves in class and remind them that they shuld pay attentin t the tense when they describe the past and the present f Sunshine Twn.
2. Grup wrk
Wrk in grups and discuss the changes Mr Chen has experienced.

Step 2 Presentatin
1. Mr Chen’s husing
(1) Ask the students t wrk in pairs and make an interview abut Mr Chen’s husing with the help f the chart, sme pictures and sme key wrds.
(2) Present sme sentences abut the changes, and ask the students t wrk ut the rules f the simple past tense and the present perfect tense.
(3) Learn the language pint—marry. Then d sme exercises.
2. Facilities
(1) Ask the students t cmplete tw passages and talk abut the twn’s past and present.
(2) Learn the language pint—turn … int …/turn + adj. Then d sme exercises.
3. Pllutin
(1) Shw sme pictures and a vide and talk abut the advantages and disadvantages f develpment.
(2) Learn the language pints—pllute, pllutin and plluted. Then d sme exercises.
(3) Ask the students t think ver the questin: What’s the develpment f the sciety? Tell them that the gvernment has realized the prblems and is trying t imprve the situatin.
(4) Learn the language pint—imprve and imprvement. Then d sme exercises.
(5) Have a grup discussin: What des the develpment f the sciety bring us? What actin can we take t imprve the situatin?
4. Mr Chen’s life
(1) Talk abut what Mr Chen thinks f the present life. Learn mre phrases abut “way”. And translate tw sentences.
(2) Learn the language pint—alne and lnely. Then d sme exercises.

Step 3 Practice
1. Rewrite the interview int a reprt
Ask the students t rewrite the interview int a reprt in the perspective f Mr Chen.
2. Retell the changes
Wrk in pairs t retell the changes in Sunshine Twn with the help f sme key wrds and phrases.
3. Cmplete the passage
Ask the students t use wrds and phrases we learnt t finish a passage abut urbanizatin.
4. Translate the sentences
Ask the students t translate sme sentences int English.
