在句中起主语作业的从句成为主语从句,引导主语从句的连接词主要有从属连词、连接代词和连接副词。
一、that引导的主语从句
1.that置于句首的主语从句(that在从句中不做任何成分,也没有含义,只起连接作用,不能省略)
2.that从句做主语时,常用it做形式主语,that引导真正的主语从句后置,常见的句式主要有如下几种:
(1)It+系动词+形容词+that从句,常用此结构的形容词有:necessary, certain, right, clear, likely, pssible, strange, bvius, natural, imprtant
注意:在It is necessary/imprtant/surprising/...+that从句结构中,从句中谓语常用“shuld+动词原形”形式,其中shuld可省略。
It is strange that yu (shuld) trust Jane.
(2)It+系动词+名词+that从句,常用这种结构的名词词组有:a pity, an hnur, a shame, a wnder, gd news, n wnder, a fact, n surprise等。
It is a pity that yu didn’t attend the lecture yesterday.
(3)It+be+过去分词+that从句,常用于这种结构的过去分词形式有:said, tld, heard, reprted, decided, suggested, advised, rdered, thught, cnsidered, hped, annunced等。
It is generally cnsidered that bys are better at science than girls.
注意:
在It be suggested/advised/rdered/requested/demanded/...+that从句结构中,从句中谓语从句用虚拟语气(shuld)+动词原形。
(4)It+动词(+宾语或状语)+that从句,常用语这种结构的词有:seem, happen, matter, ccur, turn ut等。

二、whether, if引导的主语从句
whether引导的主语从句既可以放句首,也可以放句末,但引导的主语从句只能放在句末,前面需用it做形式主语。whether, if在从句中不做任何成分,只起连接作用,不能省略。
三、wh-类连接词引导的主语从句
1.wh-类连接词包括连接代词wh, whm, whse, what, whever, whmever, whatever等和连接副词when, where, why, whenever, wherever等。有时也有it做形式主语。

2.what引导主语从句时,谓语动词的单复数形式遵循意义一致原则。

3.表语从句中的虚拟语气
(1)主语是表示建议、命令、要求、计划(suggestin, advice, rder, requested, prpsal)等的名词时,表语从句应该赢虚拟语气,即(shuld)+动原
(2)be, appear, seem, lk等系动词后接as if/ as thugh引导的表语从句时,如果所述情况是不真实的或极少有可能发生,从句用虚拟语气。

(1)从句的语序要用陈述句语序。
(2)从句做主语时,主句的谓语动词一般用单数形式,有时受表语的影响用复数形式。

4.易混辨析
(1)that/what引导主语从句
that在主语从句中不充当成分,what在主语从句中充当主语、宾语等成分。
(2)wh/whever/whmever引导主语从句
wh在从句中做主语,whever在从句中做主语,whmever在从句中做宾语。
(3)what/whatever引导主语从句
what在从句中做主语或宾语,whatever在从句中做主语或宾语,语气较强。
