My best friend is Tina,and she likes to do the same (相同的)things as I do. She is popular (受欢迎的)in school,and always makes (使)me laugh (笑). She is good at (擅长)sports. She is more interesting (更有趣) and more outgoing (更外向) than me. And she is a good listener (好的倾听者). By the way,she is of medium build. Friendship means a lot to me. Step 2 Leading inAsk some students to compare themselves with their friends. Step 3 Presentation1. Show some pictures of the students of the class. Describe the students. e. g.She is tall/short. She is popular/serious/hard-working. →be+adj. She has long straight hair/short straight hair. →have/has...hairShe likes reading/sports...→likes...2. Let some students describe the students on the screen. Step 4 Practice1. Wang Lingling and Liu Lili are best friends. Look at the chart in 3a and compare them. Then fill in the chart below. 2. Try to retell it according to the chart above. For example:Wang Lingling’s best friend is Liu Lili. They are both tall,but Wang Lingling has long straight hair,and Liu Lili has short straight hair. Wang Lingling likes reading,but Liu Lili likes sports. They are both popular and outgoing in class. Wang Lingling is serious. Liu Lili is funnier than Wang Lingling. Wang Lingling is more hard-working than Liu Lili,but Liu Lili is smarter. Step 3 Writing1. Work on 3b. Make notes about two of your friends. One friend should be similar to you;the other friend should be different from you. For example:T:My friend A is quite similar to me. We’re both tall and thin. (Write “tall” and “thin” under “A friend who is similar to me”)...Then students finish their chart by themselves. 2. Work on 3c. (1)Write two paragraphs describing your friends according to the notes in 3b. For example:My friend A is quite similar to me. We are both tall and thin. We are both quiet and serious. We like reading together. We are hard-working in class,so we often get good grades. My friend B is different from me. She is funnier and more outgoing than me. She always speaks loudly.
