Julie, 43, began her 52-marathn jurney in Rme in March 2012. She fcused n pacing herself, ften clcking in an hur slwer than her best time f 3:47, and decided nt t stick t a strict training schedule. “It is a lng prcess and I knew my bdy recvered quickly frm marathn running,” she says, and, anyway, “nthing can prepare yu fr what yu’re abut t experience.” When her muscles began t ache, she kept her mtivatin in mind. “It was like I had angels with me t keep running n matter what,” she says.
