通过Read a story的故事阅读,帮助学生进一步理解核心句型的用法。
【教学重难点】
1.词汇:miss, match, have to, cut... down, look for
2.句型:They used the wood to make matches.

【教学过程】
I. Pre-task preparations
1.复习句型What do we get from trees? We get wood from trees.教师提问,学生回答。
2.提问What do we use wood for? 学生使用核心句型We use wood to…回答。将学生的回答列在黑板上。
We use wood to make pencils
make desks
make chairs
make paper
II. While-task procedures
1.根据上一活动的板书作总结。
T: We can use wood to make desks, chairs and many other things. We get wood from trees. Trees are very important.
2.然后出示Read a story的挂图,让学生带着问题阅读故事,并找出答案,划出相关句子。
(1)Who's the bird's friend? (Mr. Tree.)
(2)What did the workers do to the tree? (They cut him down.)
3.学生阅读故事之后回答问题,检测他们对故事的理解程度。
T: Who is the bird's friend?
S1: Mr. Tree is the bird's friend.
T: What did the workers do to the tree?
S2: They cut him down and took him to a factory.
…
T: What does the girl use the match for?
S1: She uses it to make a fire.
4.然后出示故事图片,结合课本中的句型,帮助学生理解cut down, have to, look for 等词组的含义,随后教师板书词组,学生齐读。
5.学生四人一组开展活动。分发给每组学生六个剪成条状的语段和六张课本插图,先要求组内学生将语段与相应的插图进行配对。然后播放课文录音,要求组内学生根据录音内容,给语段、插图排序,随后核对答案。
6.学生做反馈练习,填空完成短文。然后播放Read a story的录音,学生跟读课文。
III. Post-task activities
1.学生根据关键词提示复述小鸟和树的故事。然后引导学生讨论故事中树的经历,讨论人与树、人与自然的关系。
Picture 1: bird, tree, sing songs
Picture 2: autumn, fly to the south, miss
Picture 3: spring, come back, cut ... down, take …to a factory
Picture 4: look for, cut ... into wood, make matches, a village
Picture 5: fly to the village, a girl, make a fire
Picture 6: sing a sad song, fly away
2.学生三人一组开展活动,在小组内分角色表演故事,或者表演故事的某一段,然后请几个小组表演。
