通过学习故事的第1-3幅图,帮助学生了解故事人物和背景,激发阅读兴趣。

2.句型:It is sunny and warm. /Mother Duck has three eggs. /Now there are three small eggs and a big one.

【教学过程】
I. Pre-task preparations
1.找出安徒生童话故事的插图,如《皇帝的新装》、《拇指姑娘》、《美人鱼》等,与学生讨论他们听过或读过的故事。
2.用故事海报引出故事The ugly duckling,并呈现故事的主人公丑小鸭。借助图片和猜迷游戏引出单词duck, duckling。
T: They're farm animals. They can walk and swim. They like eating corn and fish. They have wings but they can't fly high.
What animals are they?
Ss: They're ducks.
T: They're small and lovely. They can walk and swim too. They're the babies of ducks. What animals are they?
Ss: They're ducklings.
II. While-task procedures
1.播放故事的完整动画,让学生观看并说出故事的名字。然后依次出示故事的第一部分图1—3的挂图,让学生看图听录音,回答问题。通过问答,帮助学生了解故事的主要人物和故事背景。如果学生回答有困难,教师可以给予帮助或提示。

T: What can you see in the picture?
S1: I can see a duck and three eggs.
T: (point at the duck and the eggs) What color is the duck? What color are the eggs?
S2: The duck is yellow. The eggs are white.

T: What can you see in the picture?
S1: I can see three eggs.
T: Are they big or small?
S2: They're small.
(Picture 3)
T: How many eggs can you see in the nest?
S2: I can see four eggs.
T: (point at the three small eggs) What are they like?
S3: They are small.
T: (point at the big egg) What about the other egg? What's it like?
S3: It's big.
III. Post-task activities
1.在黑板上写上故事的关键词,把图1—3的挂图贴在黑板上,让学生看图复述故事。要给予学生充分的时间准备,不要求每个学生都会,只是给学生搭建一个说的平台。
