We used to give New Year’s greetings to our elders and neighbors on the first day of the New Year． Then we would visit our relatives． However, the outbreak of COVID-19 has changed the traditional ways to celebrate the festival． This year, my family didn’t go out during the Spring Festival． We sent messages to our elders, relatives, friends and neighbors at home．
I think it is very meaningful to spend the festival this way． By doing so, we can not only avoid the risk of catching the virus by staying at home, but also reduce traffic jams and air pollution．
