【基础知识】

1. go to bed, get/ go to sleep与sleep的区别

1). go to bed意为“去睡觉”，只强调上床睡觉的动作，不管睡没睡着，如：

We should go to bed before 9:00 PM. every day.

我们每天应该在晚上九点前上床睡觉。

2). get/ go to sleep意为“入睡，睡着”，表示已经睡着，如：

After working the whole night, he wanted to go to sleep.

工作一整晚，他想去睡觉。

3). sleep意为“睡”，强调持续的睡着状态，如：

The boy is sleeping.  那个男孩在睡觉。

2. have fun “玩得高兴”

与have fun 相近的词组还有： have a good time, enjoy oneself 。Have fun 后接动词时要用-ing形式。

e.g. we are going to have fun learning and speaking English this term.

3. After class, we often chat with each other or play in the playground.

Chat “闲谈，聊天”，即可作不及物动词，又可作名词。如果接宾语，chat后面还要加上with或者to，构成固定短语 chat with/to sb.

e.g. Old people like to chat with each other.

4. We practise after school on Wednesday afternoon.

Practise 为动词，意思为“练习，训练”，后面常接动词-ing形式，常用的短语为 practise doing sth .“练习做某事”。

e.g. We often practise playing football after class.

5. how often，how soon，how long，how far的区别

1). how often表示“多久一次”，问频率，如：

—How often do you visit your mother?   你多长时间看你妈妈一次？

—Once a week.  一周一次。

2). how soon表示“多久之后”，问的是将来的事情，如：

—How soon will he be back?  他多久回来？

—In an hour.  一小时后。

3). how long一般问时间，意为“多长时间”，如：

—How long did he stay here?  他在这待了多久？

—About two weeks.  大约两周。

4). how far则表示“多远”，问距离，如：

—How far is it from here to the zoo?  从家里去动物园要多远呢？

—It’s about 1500 meters.  大约1500米。

6. seldom  adverb 很少；几乎从来没有

例：Now that we have a baby, we seldom get the chance to go to the cinema.

有了孩子以后，我们很少有机会看电影了。

7. museum  noun 博物馆，博物院

例：The museum is full of rare and precious treasures.

博物馆里充满了稀有的珍宝。

8. wake up,Eddie!

Wake up 醒来，醒醒。这里的wake作不及物动词。 Wake sb up “把某人叫醒”，如果sb是人称代词，就必须放在wake和up两个词中间，且要用宾格，如果宾语是名词，则即可放在两词质检，也可放在两词之后。

例：I don’t want to wake you up.

    Don’t wake up the baby. He will cry.

9. once  adverb 一次，一回；曾经，一度；一旦…就

例1：We have lunch together once a month.

我们每个月在一起吃一次午餐。

例2：This house once belonged to my grandfather.

这所房子曾属于我的祖父。

例3：Once I've found somewhere to live I'll send you my address.

我一找到住的地方就把地址告诉你。
