一、教学目标

1. 掌握本课的重点词汇：report, move, slowly, daytime
2. 掌握本课的重点句型：

They are good at climbing and swimming.

They seldom hurt people. 

Sadly, many hunters catch bears for their fur and paws.

We should take action to stop this.

3. 能够分析文章的结构，并依据提纲写一篇关于濒危动物的报告。
4. 认识动物的濒危状况，增强保护动物的意识。

三、教学过程

Step 1 Warming-up

Guide Ss to guess what the animals are.

【设计意图】通过看描述猜动物的活动，将学生引入主题。

Step 2 Pre-writing

1. Guide Ss to brainstorm what they know about bears.
2. Guide Ss to learn some information about bears in looks, abilities, food, qualities and danger.

【设计意图】利用思维导图，探讨和熊有关的几个方面，之后通过图文的形式介绍熊的相关知识，补充知识的同时教授新词。

3. Let Ss complete the report according to the information about bears.
4. Help Ss analyze the outline of the report.

【设计意图】通过完成报告的形式，帮助学生巩固知识的应用，同时感知如何写一份报告介绍濒危动物。之后引导学生分析文章结构，为写作做准备。

5. Guide Ss to work in groups to find out the useful expressions.

【设计意图】通过寻找有用的表达，为写作积累素材。

6. Guide Ss to work in groups to discuss an animal in danger and complete the chart.

【设计意图】通过讨论，得出将要描写的动物的相关信息，为写作积累素材。

Step 3 While-writing

Let Ss write a report about an animal in danger individually.

【设计意图】根据前边的学习，仿照范例进行写作，达到学以致用。

Step 4 Post-writing

Let Ss evaluate and polish their written passages in groups.
