T: Who are they? S1: Robin and Wu Binbin’s grandpa. Grandpa is ill. T: What does Robin want to do? S2: He wants to read a magazine to Grandpa. T: What’s the magazine about? S3: Different ways to go to school. T: Now let’s learn how they go to school.
T: How many ways to go to school can you find in the text? S1: There are four ways to go to school. T: Does everyone in the text go to school? S2:No, they don’t. Robin doesn’t go to school. Practice
教师播放音频,学生跟读。然后教师教授生词“sled, fast 和 ferry”。
T: Some kids go to school by sled. It’s fast. Don’t let the dogs run too fast. You must drive slowly.
T:We must wear a life jacket by ferry. And don’t run on the ferry.
学生再次读课文并回答问题。 T: How do they go to school? Ss: On foot./ By sled./ By ferry./ By plane. T: How do the children in Papa Westray go to school? Ss: By ferry. T: How did they go to school in 2009? Ss: By plane. T: Why? Ss: Because the ferry didn’t work.
