一、教学目标
- 掌握本节课重点词汇:which, best, so, geography, history, date, meeting, o’clock, gate
2. 掌握本节课重点句型:Which of the subjects do you like best?
What’s the date today?
What time is it?
Let’s meet at the school gate.
3. 能够通过音频,获取 Eddie喜欢的科目及原因。
4. 能够用英文介绍自己喜欢的科目及原因。
5. 能够使用适当的语言谈论学校生活。

三、教学过程
Task 1
Step 1 Warming-up
Let Ss have a free talk to answer the following questions.
- What’s your favourite sport?
- Do you do the sport in your PE lessons?
- Do you like to have PE lessons? If not, what subject do you like best? Why?
【设计意图】通过复习上一单元运动的话题,引入“体育课”科目的话题,激活学生对学校科目的认知和看法。
Step 2 Presentation
- Ask Ss to listen and answer the questions.
(1) Which subject does Eddie like best?
(2) Why can Eddie learn Maths well?
【设计意图】通过提问,激发学生听的动机,并聚焦核心内容。
- Get Ss to listen and read and then ask them to act it out.
【设计意图】根据录音跟读帮助学生纠音,表演是内化语言和信息的重要途径,同时,提升学生的理解能力和表演能力。
Task 2
Step 1 Presentation
Present covered pictures with clues to ask Ss to guess the words about subjects.
【设计意图】通过呈现被部分遮盖的图片,以游戏的形式,来猜测和学习科目名字,比较直观,同时,激发学生的学习兴趣。
Step 2 Practice
1. Have Ss look and write the subject in Part A, and then check the answers by answering the questions. Then let them brainstorm the subjects to summarize and consolidate them. Then ask them why they like the subjects.
【设计意图】通过看图填词的练习巩固科目名称,在核对答案阶段以问句的形式在语境中使用科目的词汇。头脑风暴总结词汇,补充喜欢科目的原因的表达,为后边的输出做准备。
2. Ask and answer
Let Ss ask and answer like this:
A: ... Which subject do you like best?
B: I like ... best because ... What about you?
A: My favourite subject is …
3. Listen and write
Introduce the context and ask Ss to listen to the conversation in Part B and take notes.
【设计意图】从喜欢的科目过渡到学校的开放日,通过设计的表格记录信息,培养学生在听中记笔记的能力和意识。
4. Ask Ss to listen to the tape and read. Then ask them to underline the key sentences.
【设计意图】听音校音,加强朗读,是七年级学生的常规学习活动,为学生的语音打好基础。在学习中关注核心语言的构成和表达,是学生该话题下积累语言的过程。

6. Retell it according to the form
Have Ss retell it according to the form to consolidate the information and language.
【设计意图】通过复述,内化语言和信息,提升表达能力。
Step 4 Summary
Help Ss to summarize the subjects, phrases and sentences.
【设计意图】对核心语言进行总结的阶段是学生回忆所学,系统化梳理知识,形成知识网的过程。
Step 6 Homework
1. Read and recite the conversation in B on P31.
2. Make an English timetable for your class.
【设计意图】背诵和朗读对初一学生积累语言、提升语音大有裨益,为班级用英语制定课程表是将学习成果迁移到真实生活中,有助于学生对语言的使用,体验学有所用。
