Alice is a 7-year-old girl. One day, she runs after a white rabbit and falls (跌倒)down a rabbit hole (洞穴). Then, she goes to a place called Wonderland (仙境).

In Wonderland, Alice meets many strange (奇怪的）people. An evil queen wants to cut off (砍掉) someone’s head every two minutes. A cat smiles so big that its lips (嘴唇) almost reach its ears. Strange things happen to Alice as well. Her body grows big and small every now and then.

People speak many different languages. But some words are common in the different language. “OK” is one such word! March 23 is OK Day. People use the word “OK” for many years.

People first used the word “OK” in the Boston Morning Post on March 23, 1839. It read: o.k. It was an abbreviation (缩写) of the words “oll korrect”, a wrong spelling of “all correct (正确的)”. It began as a joke, but people later used the word on documents (文件) to say that all was well.

People like “OK” for many reasons. It is easy to say and write. It is also easy to understand. “OK” is a neutral (中性的) word. If you say something is great, some people may not agree with you. But with “OK”, everyone shows agreement (同意).

“OK” is welcomed around the world. When you are talking with someone, you may not know his language, but saying “OK” along with gestures (手势) helps others understand you.

You may often see that some people use “OK” while others use “okay”. What’s the difference? Well, they’re both spoken in the same way. But most people like to use “OK”. They often use “OK” in writing. Some people like “okay” because it looks more like a word.

Animals go to school

Once upon a time, some animals went to school. They had to study running, climbing, swimming and flying at school.
