Nowadays many students don’t get enough sleep. They can hardly sleep for seven or eight hours per night. As a result, they feel sleepy and tired at classes and that’s why some of them get poor grades in the exams.

There are some reasons why students can’t have enough sleep. One reason is that they suffer from great study pressure. That means they have to do a lot of homework which makes them stay up late. Additionally, the beginning time of schools start early. Students have to get up early in order not to be late, especially for those who live far away from the school.

Some measures should be taken in order to solve this problem. Firstly, teachers are supposed not to assign a lot of homework to students so that they have time to sleep. Secondly, the school should start no earlier than 8:30 am. This means students could get more sleep and have time to have breakfast.
