五、阅读表达(共 10 分;每题 2 分)
Reading is a wonderful habit to develop, which can improve your memory. Start from small thing to develop the habit by reading for just a few minutes a day. Reading books that you enjoy and want to continue reading is a great way to maintain ( 维 持) your habit and become a life-long reader. Here are some useful suggestions to develop the habit of reading.
①每天找到时间来读书。
Find the best time of day for you to read. Try to read when you are not tired. By reading every day for a short period, for example, read when you eat or have a cup of tea, you will become a better reader.
Read books that interest you.
If you’re not engaged (吸引住) by the book that you’re reading, it can make reading seem like a chore. But, if you really like what you’re reading, you won’t want to put the book down and reading will be fun.
Don’t worry about understanding every word.
Sometimes we think we must understand the meaning of everything that we read. It isn’t always necessary to understand every word in a passage as a whole. Instead of interrupting your reading to find the meaning of a new word, circle the word and come back to it after you have finished reading.
Read as much as you can.
②The best suggestion to become a better reader is to read whenever and wherever you can. Good readers read a lot, such as newspapers, magazines, textbooks and websites. If you want to be a more fluent reader, please make a plan about what you read during the day and how long you read each for.

阅读下面短文,根据其内容完成后面各项任务。
A 10-year-old girl was on the way home after school. ①Suddenly, a bottle thrown from a building by an 8-year-old boy fell on her head. Sounds like a bad dream, doesn’t it? Sadly, this actually happened in Nanjing in June, 2019. The girl was sent to the hospital immediately.
Similar things have taken place in other parts of China. These heartbreaking cases raised public worries about the risk of falling objects. Even a small object can cause serious injuries (受伤) when dropped from a great height. ②例如:一个被从25楼扔下来的空可乐瓶子将会杀死一个人。
People are expecting to see more laws to deal with such cases. According to the laws, people who throw things that harm people should pay for the victims’ (受害者的) medical care. But in many cases, it’s hard to find out who is responsible (负责的). This makes the situation more difficult because all of those who live in the building could be responsible.
What can we do about it?
Many people have turned to video cameras to solve the problem. Some neighborhoods in Nanjing have used cameras to spot things falling from high buildings. The cameras can see the outside of the building, but not into the apartments themselves.
There have been other suggestions as well, including stricter checks on the design and construction (施工) of high buildings. The checks could remind people of the risk of falling things.
