What’s wrong with you? What’s the matter with you? What’s the problem with you? 或是以疑问词做主语的句子;e.g.: who is over there?
Tom says, “I’m from America.”
→Tom says (that) he is from America.
She asked me, “Where do you live?”
→She asked me where I live. (you变成了和宾语me相一致的I)
Kate said,” They like reading.”
→Kate said (that) they liked reading.
Will he come back tomorrow? Do you know?
→ Do you know if / whether he will come back tomorrow?
Which sweater should Tom buy? Tom can't decide.
→ Tom can't decide which sweater he should buy.
The sun rises in the east. We all know.
→ We all know that the sun rises in the east.
Do you know __________?
A. when will the Beijing Olympic Games end. B. when the Beijing Olympic Games will end.
C. when would the Beijing Olympic Games end. D. when the Beijing Olympic Games would end.
The official said they _____ a new law to protect the tourists the next year.
A .makes B. would make
C. made D. have made

He made himself comfortable, thought for some minutes until there was complete silence, and then he started to play music that was at first empty and dangerous, but that soon became loud and painful, like the worst thing you’ve ever heard.
问题:The cellist didn’t start to play immediately after he sat down, did he?
____________________________
(1)读懂问题——通读全文——信息定位——准确表达——避免答非所问;
(2)注意以材料为本。无论是单词、词组、句子,还是人、物、时间、地点、原因等,都要根据文章类型准确填写;
(3)注意文章中的人称和时态,做到问答一致。考试时最常见的错误就是时态语态用错;
(4)灵活运用同义词语的替换和各种句型的不同表达;
(5)对于开放性问题的回答,应根据文章提供的素材,根据全文大意、中心思想和作者的情感、立场展开合理的想象;
(6)在对待生词的处理上,要一分为二地看待。有些不影响理解的生词(如地名,人名)可直接忽视掉。有些生词前后会出现破折号、冒号或者出现that is to say 或者that means等词时,其实就是解释说明的作用。可以注意推测出词意;

1.D. Answer the questions (根据以下内容回答问题)(12分)
New high school students in the US have more to worry about than their test. Often, high school are up to 10 times larger than middle schools. Students become small fish in a very, very big pond.
In the past, American kids knew that high school would bring bullying from elder students. Young students felt lonely and confused.
Nowadays, things are improving. Schools are creating “teams” to make students feel welcome. A team is smaller, friendlier, and easier to become a part of than the school as a whole.
Teams are made up of a few students from each grade level. Teachers choose team leaders to act as role models. Within a team older students protect and advise the younger students, who will do the same for the later. The teams stay together for all four years of school. Some teams even create their own flags!
Students meet on campus before school starts at “orientation”(新生训练). At orientation, students get to know the members of their team. Orientation may go on for as long as one week. During orientation, experts guide students through “trust games”. In one popular game, a student is blindfolded(蒙起眼睛的) and led by a partner through some obstacles(障碍物). In scavenger-hunt(寻物) type games, students have to find out the interests and hobbies of their teammates. These activities help students to get close to each other. Students can go to their team members questions, problems and even friendship. This way, high school doesn’t seem quite so scary.

Emma has a lot on her plate. Not only is she a student at Santa Margarita Catholic High School. But also founder of her own organization, Beary Merry Christmas. She volunteers to serve poor kids and families in orange town in California ,US.
To honor her best friend who died of cancer nearly 10 years ago. Emma decided to serve those in orange town who are less lucky than she is.
She began with the simple idea of collecting donated build-a-bears, the popular stuffed(填充的)animal that is made by children themselves in the shores’ workshops. Emma then took the donated bears to a hotel in California and gave them as gifts to the homeless children there during the holiday season.
With donations now at more than 100 bears a year. Emma and volunteers host Beary Merry Christmas events every year. Volunteers at events not only give out the bears, but also clothing ,meals, and other supplies.
“I love making relationships with the people I serve,” Emma said.” There thanks they have, hearing their stories and seeing how happy they are, it’s so cool.”
Not wanting to limit the giving to just the holiday months, Emma now hosts other events for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Halloween, providing the chance for her volunteer team to make a difference throughout the year.
Future plans for Emma include establishing a public food pantry(储藏室) and providing a self-awareness(自我意识)class for students on her campus who will soon attend college.
Heading to college herself in the fall. Emma is looking to stay local and continue to help out in her town. In fact, she was recently recognized by the Disneyland resort as a “dreamer & doer” for her efforts in improving her community, along with 32 other orange town high school students.
The smiles on the faces of those she serves remain both her motivation(动力) and her reward.” there charity efforts are such a big part of my life.” Emma said.” all of it has taught me to be more compassionate(有同情心的)and to look out for the needs of others before my own.”

1. D. Answer the questions(根据短文回答下列问题)
My day starts just like all the other days. I left for the train station at 7:30 a.m. to arrive at work by 8:30,” Just another day,” I thought.
I didn’t know why but for some reason when I got on the train that day, it was unusually full. I sat down in the only seat beside a man who had his head down and seemed to bo lost in his thoughts. Shortly after the train left I found myself wondering what could be so important that the man didn’t even see me. I tried to forget about it. However, for some strange reason this “inner voice” kept asking me to talk to this man.
At last I made up my mind and thought of an excuse to ask him a question. When he raised his head, I could see that he must have been really sad as he had red eyes and still had rolling down the side of his face.
We talked for about 20 minutes and he seemed to be feeling better. As we were leaving the train, he thanked me politely for spending the time talking with him. I never found out what made him so sad, but was glad I listened to the “voice” that day.
Several weeks later, I noticed a letter on my desk. It was from the man I met on the train, thanking me for saving his life. In it he explained that with no hope he shouted to God that if God really cared about him he would send someone to stop him from taking his own life. In his eyes I was that someone sent my God.
So next time, you know why you should follow your “inner voice” to talk to a friend, a relative and even a stranger.

Robert Brooks is a psychologist(心理学家)now. He remembers the time when he was just a young man. He was in training to be a psychologist. He had to give a speech in front of a large group of people. And, he was very nervous. He did not like speaking in front of people. But his speech was very important.
Robert gave his speech. He did a good job. But, he did not have the chance to hear what other people thought. Later that same day Robert looked into his mail box and found a small note there. The note simply said, “You did a great job today, Robert.” Robert was very surprised and happy to see the note. It made him feel very good. And, Robert believes that that small note helped him through the rest of his training. He felt like he was able to do a good job.
Now as a psychologist, he teaches the importance of giving praise to other people. He tells them the story of the simple note that he received. He tells them that the words on the note had power. Those words helped him to continue doing a good job. One day, a businessman, who had attended Robert’s lecture, decided to take Robert’s ideas to heart.
The more this businessman encouraged his workers, the happier they were. “The atmosphere in our company changed. We enjoyed working. It began with one red paper clip(回形针)and ended with a house. Kyle MacDonald, a 26-year-old Canadian, got a three-bed roomed house through 14 trades(交换)
Seeing Kyle’s successful experience, now more and more young people around the world are starting their own trading activities. They set up websites where people can trade things they do not usually use with other people. A website called Peer fix allows people to trade their used DVDs. These traders usually prefer face-to-face trading, which means they don't have to worry about who is going to pay for the delivery
Last year, a young girl in Beijing decided to follow the example of Kyle. She started with a paper clip and hoped to get a house in the end. After several trades she now has a piano which is worth more than 10,000 yuan. But she may still have a long way to go.
You may wonder why people are so interested in those trading activities. If you ask Kyle, he will say, "To a man dying of thirst(干渴)in the desert, a glass of water is surely more useful than one million dollars, isn't it?” Kyle's words probably show why these trades are popular among young people
