一、基数词：表示数目的词叫基数词。
（一）基数词的表示方法
1、最基本的基数词: 见书中表格
2、hundred, thusand, millin, billin, dzen, scre 这些词前面如果有表示具体数字的词，它们末尾不能加“s”且不能与f连用；反之则末尾需加“s”，与f连用。

（二）基数词的用法
1、用基数词表示编号。
Tday we are ging t study Lessn Five. 今天我们要学习第五课。
He lives in Rm 801. 他住在801房间。
2、表示大几倍或者小多少用基数词。
This rm is three times bigger than that ne. 这个房间比那个房间大三倍。
3、“数词+名词（+形容词）”构成复合形容词作定语，其中名词用单数形式，数词与名词及形容词之间用连字符“-”。 A twenty-ne-year-ld girl is behind me. 一位21岁的女孩在我身后。
4、两组与数词有关的介词短语：
（1）in+定冠词the+整十基数词的复数形式，表示年代。 In the 1870s 在19世纪70年代
（2）in+物主代词+整十基数词的复数形式，表示某人的大约年龄。
in ne’s thirties 在某人30多岁的时候
有时在物主代词后面可加上形容词early或late使其含义更确切一些。
The yung man is in his early thirties. 这个年轻人刚30岁出头。注意：“十几岁”要用in ne’s teens;
二、序数词：表示数目顺序的词叫序数词。
（一）序数词的构成： 写法口诀：1.2.3特殊记，th从4加起，两个ve ，f替，8去t 9去e，ty变成tie，后加th莫迟疑，若是几十几，只变个位就可以。
8---eighth; 9---ninth; 12---twenfth; 20---twentieth; 40---frtieth; 90---ninetieth; 99---ninety-ninth;
（二）序数词的用法
1、序数词主要作定语、表语，前面要加定冠词the。
The fifth lessn is very easy t learn. 第五课很好学。 Yu are the first ne I believe. 你是我最相信的人。
注意：1. 序数词和定冠词连用表示顺序；和不定冠词连用，表示“又一，再一”，和零冠词连用时，表示名次，起副词的作用。
Our classrm is n the secnd flr f Building 2. 我们的教室在2号楼的2楼。
He failed twice, but he tried it a third time. 他失败了两次，但又尝试了一次。
Lily came secnd in the race. 莉莉在比赛中得了第二名。
2、表示分数词时，分子用基数词，分母用序数词；若分子大于1，表示分母的序数词要用复数形式。
Tw fifths f the bks are mine. 五分之二的书是我的。
3、数词前加every, 表达“每一段时间或每隔一段……”。
每隔10天/每隔8天 every ten days / every ninth day;
每隔4周/每隔2周 every fur weeks / every third week
