教材分析
该板块的活动主题是“阐述有关太空探索的论点”（Present an argument abut space explratin）。尽管人类在航空航天事业上取得了伟大的成就，但是关于人类探索太空是否值得这个问题，争议一直存在。本单元的读写板块就是从这一争议性问题出发，让学生通过阅读一篇议论文了解人们对待这个问题的不同态度和不同视角，既要理解太空探索需要付出的代价，又要认识到太空科技对人类生活的影响。
教学目标
1. 了解太空探索的意义和价值。
2. 能掌握议论文的基本结构和语言特点。
3. 能写一篇观点明确、论据确凿的议论文。
教学重难点
【教学重点】
引导学生阅读探讨太空探索的意义和价值的议论文，区分作者的论点和相关论据。
【教学难点】
引导学生针对是否支持太空探索这一话题写一篇议论文。
教学过程
Step 1 Pre-reading
1. Read the passage quickly and find ut the authr’s pinin n space explratin.
设计意图：引导学生快速阅读全文，找出作者表达自己观点的句子。
Step 2 Reading

Step 3 Writing
1. Wrk n Activity 3. Use what yu have learnt t write abut yur pinin abut space explratin.
(1) Are these arguments fr r against explring space? Put them in the table belw. Then add yur wn ideas and write yur essay.
(2) Make an utline and then write yur draft.
(3) Exchange drafts with a partner. Use the checklist t give feedback n yur partner’s draft.
