Step 4 Ask Ss to read the short passage in “Did you know?” on page 55 and find out the difference among paper cutting, embroidery, seal cutting, calligraphy, Chinese painting, porcelain.
Step 5 Ask Ss to read Activity 5 and plays the recording.
Step 5 1.Ask Ss to read “Learning to learn” on this page and reminds Ss to take notes during listening. 2.Play the recording for the Ss to complete Activity 6. 3.Ask Ss to recall how the speakers discuss the difference.Play the recording again if necessary.
| Ss look at the pictures and describe what’s happening and match the descriptions to the types of art. Ss say something about TV programme and complete the blanks with the correct form of the words in the box.
Ss work in pairs. Talk about the art they would like to enjoy and the entertainment they can do in them. Ss read the passage on page 56 and find out the the difference among paper cutting, embroidery, seal cutting, calligraphy, Chinese painting, porcelain Ss listen for the first time to get the main idea of the conversation. 1. Ss read “Learning to learn” on this page and get the point. 2. Ss listen for the second time and complete the plan and check answers in groups. 3. Ss work in groups and talk about how the speakers discuss managing their time. | Use language in the real situation.
