教学过程

Step 1 交流短文“Water is valuable”，检测回家作业的完成情况，并引出话题What can we do to save water?。

Step 2 就“节约用水”开展“头脑风暴”，讨论节水妙招。

Step 3 阅读补充材料，进一步了解在日常生活中应该如何节约用水。

         Install low-flow shower heads.

         Take shorter showers. (Showers kept under 5 minutes can save you about 15 gallons per shower.)

         If you take a bath, fill the bathtub less than halfway. (You can save 10-15 gallons per bath.)

         Turn the tap off when you are brushing your teeth and washing your hands.

         Install a highly efficient flush toilet.

Step 4 学习Grammar 板块用限定词修饰可数名词和不可数名词的用法。

1. 学生比较 a lot of，a little，a few，(not) much，(not) many 和 no 等词的区别。教师引入

  限定词的教学。学生认读和理解单词 quantity。

1. 学生朗读以下例句，理解 a lot of，a little，(not) much 和 how much 在不可数名词之前

   的用法。

         How much water is there on Earth?

         There is a lot of water on Earth.

         How much water is drinkable?

         Only a little water is drinkable.(There is not much fresh water.)

b. 教师开展实物教学，引导学生归纳 a lot of，a few，(not) many 和 how many 在可数名

   词之前的用法。例如：

         How many books are there in your school?

         There are a lot of books.

         How many exercise books are there in your schoolbag?

         There are a few (not many) exercise books.

c. 学生学习教材第63页上的 Things to remember 的内容，并独立完成 Work out the rule

   部分。

d. 学生观察练习册A的图片，并根据练习的内容开展关于限定词 a lot of，a little，a few，(not) much，(not) many，no，how many 和 how much 的对话操练。

2. 教师指导学生掌握 too much，too many，too little，too few 和 (not) enough 修饰名词的用法。

a. 学生观察教材第64页底部的表格，独立思考这些限定词的使用规则。

b. 学生独立完成教材第65页上的 Work out the rule 部分，师生一起核对答案。

c. 学生以对子活动的形式完成 B 部分的练习，并操练对话。

d. 学生阅读以下蛋糕和比萨饼制作的配料表，然后任选一种，模仿练习B开展对话操练。

回家作业

1. 朗读More practice 板块的阅读篇章。
2. 以“What can we do to save water?”为题，提出节约用水的建议。（至少6条建议）        尽量使用限定词 a lot of ，a little，a few，(not) much，(not) many，no，too many，too much， too little，too few，(not) enough等。
3. 完成《练习册》第67页至69页 Grammar 的练习。
