课程导入(Leading In)
(1)课前复习
1. 引导学生复习有关季节的词汇,并由季节引出相应的天气状况。课件出示以下句子,指定学生将其补充完整并朗读:
I like spring. The weather is_______. I can_______.
I like summer. The weather is_______. I can_______.
I like autumn. The weather is_______. I can_______.
I like winter. The weather is_______. I can_______.
2. Part A Warming-up: Read and answer
(1) 学生读本部分的三个问题,并圈出不认识的单词,教师进行讲解。如:问句中months为month “月”的复数形式,并强调th的发音为[θ];which是特殊疑问词,意思是“哪一个、哪一些”。
(2) 学生四人一组讨论本部分的三个问题。
(3) 教师提问问题1和2,提醒学生用There be句型抢答。
(4) 教师继续提问问题3,鼓励学生借助第2单元所学的知识作答。
(2)新课导入
T: (出示数字卡片) Look! I have many number cards. Please say the numbers quickly!
Ss: One, Two, ...
T: (出示数字卡片12) What is it?
Ss : Twelve.
T: Good! This is twelve. And there are twelve months in a year. Do you know the names of the months? Today we’ll learn them.
教学小贴士
教师在引导学生说数字的时候,最好在黑板上写出数字1-12,目的在于与本课时新授的月份单词一一对应。在教授月份单词时,可以将月份单词写在与其相对应数字单词的下面,这样不仅可以复习数字单词,而且也通过正迁移,引导学生更快地记忆月份单词,加深学生对月份单词的印象。

1. 教授单词December, January和February
(1) 教师承接新课导入部分,出示春天的图片,提问学生:
T. Look! What season is it?
Ss: It’s spring.
T: Which months are in spring?
Ss: March, April and May.
教师将这三个月份单词板书在黑板上数词three, four, five的旁边。
(2) 教师接下来出示冬天的图片,继续提问:
T: Look! What season is it?
Ss: It’s winter.
T: Yes. You’re right. Which months are in winter? Do you know?
Ss:(如果学生不会, 允许学生用中文进行回答)12月,1月和2月。
T:(教师出示圣诞节的图片)Yes. Look! Christmas Day is coming. Do you know which month it is in?
Ss: 12月.
T: Yes. It’s in December. Christmas Day is in December.
教师板书单词,并带领学生按音节拼读De-cem-ber,教师领读并纠正错误的重音(第二个音节应重读)。
(3) T:(教师出示元旦的图片) New Year’s Day is coming. Do you know which month it is in?
Ss: l月.
T: Yes. It’s in January. New Year’s Day is in January.
教师板书,引导学生按音节拼读Ja-nua-ry,教师领读并纠正读音。
(4) T: (教师出示春节的图片)Then comes the Chinese New Year. Do you know which month it is in?
Ss: January or 2月.
T: Yes. It’s in January or February. Sometimes, the Chinese New Year is in January. Sometimes it is in February.
教师板书单词February,学生拼读拼写Fe-brua-ry,教师注意纠正错误读音。
2. 教授单词June, July和August
(1) 师生会话,学习新单词:
T: Which season is after winter?
Ss: It’s spring.
T: Which season comes after spring, then?
(教师出示夏天的图片进行引导)
Ss: It’s summer.
T: Which months are in summer? Do you know?
教师出示年历,并圈出6月、7月和8月。
T:(教师出示儿童节图片)Look! This is Children’s Day. Do you know the month?
Ss: 6月.
T: Yes. It’s June. Children’s Day is in June.
教师板书单词June,师生一起拼读。
(2) T: Summer is hot, so we don’t go to school in July or August.
教师板书July和August,学生拼读,之后教师再领读,并引导学生注意July 的重音在第二个音节,y的读音是[aɪ]。单词August中字母组合au读[ɔː]的音,u读短元音[ə]。
3. 教授单词September, October和November
教学提示:教师以同样的方法教授新单词,建议借助Teachers’Day (教师节) 以及National Day (国庆节) 引入September和October。而在教授November时,教师可以提问学生:What is the month after October?引起学生思考并导人新单词November。
这三个单同都非常符合读音规则,重音都 在第二个音节,且词尾是同一的音节-ber,非常好记。
对于多音节的单词,建议教师可以通过引导学生先划分音节,找准单词重音音节,然后按读音规则拼读拼写单词的方式进行学习。这样能更方便学生记忆。
(2)巩固活动
教师播放录音,让学生听并模仿其语音语调跟读本部分的月份单词。
操练活动的设计与实施建议(Practice Activities)
(1)说唱歌谣
教师引领学生看黑板上的数字单词和月份单词,说唱歌谣:
January, February, (手指表示1和2) one and two. (拍手)
March, April, (手指表示3和4) three and four. (拍手)
May, June, (手指表示5和6) five and six. (拍手)
July, August, (手指表示7和8) seven and eight. (拍手)

1. 教师出示本部分的大转盘并转动,等其停止以后,提问学生:

2. 教师请一位学生上台转动转盘,并提问其他同学:

教学提示:为了提高学生的积极性,教师可以请台上提问的学生充当小教师,对台下的学生进行点名提问。
3. 教师请学生拿出他们各自准备的月份转盘,同桌两人一组参考本部分的句型示例进行问答。

小游戏:我是小记者
教师拿出所准备的麦克风,走到学生面前并介绍:

Ss: It’s ... (月份).
然后快速走到另一个学生的面前,用麦克风提问:
T: Which month is before ...(月份), S1?
S1: It’s ... (月份).
得到学生的回应后,接着对全班同学发问:
T: Now do you know which season is after ... (季节)?
Ss: It’s ... (季节).
多次轮流,让学生在轻松愉快的氛围中复习月份和季节单词,为新课展示部分做铺垫。

(1)新课展示
Part B Learn to say
(1) T: January is the first month of the year. And spring is the first season in a year. Can you guess what “first” means?
教师引导学生理解first的意思是“第一”,然后用同样的方法教授1-30中具有特殊变化的序数词。
T: Which season is after spring?
Ss: Summer.
T: So summer is the second season in a year.
T: What is the next season?
Ss: Autumn.
T: Autumn is the third season. And the fourth season is winter. What is the first month in a year then?
Ss: January.
T: What about the first day of January? (引导学生作答)
Ss: It’s January the first.
教师板书January 1st,展示Learn to say部分的日期卡片并领读。
(2)按照同样的方法一一引出其他九个日期的表达。
(3)播放Learn to say部分的录音,让学生听并跟读本部分的内容。
教学小贴士
教师在教师序数词时,只需要把具有特殊变化的序数词罗列出来,让学生识记;其他规则变化的序数词让学生了解其变化规律即可。也可以让学生通过儿歌来记忆,如:
基变序,有规律。词尾加上th。一二三,特殊记,词尾字母tdd。八减t,九减e。f要把ve替,ty把y变成i,记住th前有个e。
之后,教师可让学生自行讨论,列一列1/30的序数词及其缩写形式。
2. Part A Let’s talk
(1) T: I like to fly kites, and my favorite season is spring. Which is your favorite season?
S1: My favorite season is ...
教师板书句型:Which is your favorite season? 并再次讲解特殊疑问词which的意思。
教师继续拿出麦克风逐一提问学生:Which is your favorite season?
教师请其他学生充当小记者,用麦克风提问大家:Which is your favorite season? 教师出示春天的图片,并进行描述:
T: My favorite season is spring, because spring begins from March. It is warm. The trees are green. The flowers are beautiful. The mountains are green, too. I can fly kites and plant trees.
教师板书本课重点句型:Because ... It is ... The trees ... The flowers ... The mountains ... I can ...
教师继续表述:
T: I also like autumn. Because we have Teachers’ Day on September the tenth. And I can receive many wishes.
板书句型:I like ... better. Because we have ... on ...
之后提问学生:
T: Which is your favorite season, S2?
S2: ... is my favorite season.
T: Why?
S2: Because ...
教学提示:在这里教师可以要求学生运用黑板上的句型进行回答 ,但是不一定非要用全部的句型,可以选择性地回答自己为什么最喜欢某个季节,教师也可对学生的回答进行适当补充。
(2) 听录音,理解对话。
教师提出一些问题,然后播放Let’s talk部分的录音,让学生合上书听本部分的对话,然后回答问题。问题可参考如下:
a. Which is Li Shan’s favorite season?
b. When does autumn begin?
c. Is it cool in autumn?
d. Does Alice like winter? Why?
e. When are Christmas and New Year?
教学提示:教师在学生回答问题e时,可将英文日期的表达格式在这里适当地进行渗透,英文表示日期一般是按照“月份+日期的序数词”这样的格式,也可以按照“日期的序数词+月份”的格式进行表达,如:
9月28日September the twenty-eighth / September 28th
the twenty-eighth, September / 28th, September
12月5日December the fifth / December 5th
the fifth, December / 5th, December
要表达在某个具体的日子时,要用介词on。如:
Christmas is on December 25th.
New Year is on January 1st.
(2)巩同活动
1. 教师再次播放录音,让学生注意模仿录音中人物的语音语调跟读对话。
2. 将学生分成两组,分角色读对话。
操练活动的设计与实施建议(Practice Activities)
(1)表演时间
1. 教师先让学生同桌两人一组练习对话3-5分钟。其间,教师可以在教室里巡视指导,如果有学生落单,教师可以与其搭档,排练对话。
2. 教师将秋天和冬天的图片贴在黑板的两边,鼓励学生借助黑板上的句型和图片提示创编对话,对Let’s talk部分的对话进行改编。然后让学生两人戴上Li Shan和Alice的头饰,表演对话。
3. 教师对学生的表演进行点评,表扬并适当奖励勇于上台表演的学生。
(2)日期播报
1. 采用开火车读Learn to say部分的日期,教师纠正错误的发音,并提醒学生注意th的读音。
2. 教师出示日期卡片,学生分组抢答。
3. 学生拿出各自准备的日期卡片,两人一组互相读日期。
(3)Part C Think and answer
1. 教师将学生分成四人一组,互相提问并回答本部分的六个问题。
2. 抢答:教师快速发问,请学生抢答,抢答对的学生所在组加一分,教师对个别回答错误的学生进行纠正,并引导其根据实际情况说出正确的答案。

1. 学生打幵课本翻到17页,将自己和家人的生日圈出来。
2. 教师提问,学生根据实际情况回答。如:
T: When is your birthday, S1?

T: What about your mother’s birthday?
S3: It’s on ...
教学建议 :教师也可以请学生互相提问、分组提问或以开火车的形式进行提问,通过丰富多彩的形式,反复练习和巩固月份及日期的英文表达,为新授环节做铺垫。

T: You are right. Spring begins from March. It is from March to May.
板书句子:Spring begins from March. It is from March to May.
用红色粉笔标出begins from和 from ... to ...
T: What about summer?(引导学生作答)

T: When does autumn begin?
T&Ss: Autumn begins from September. It is from September to November.

教师补充:

2. 听录音,整体感知短文。
3. 教师提出问题,让学生带着问题通读课文,并回答问题。问题可参考如下:
(1) How many seasons are there in a year?
(2) Does each season have three months?
(3) Is summer from July to September?
(4) When does winter begin?
(5) Which month is New Year in?
4. 教师再次播放录音,让学生跟读Let’s learn more部分的内容并学习短文,引导学生在对话情景中猜一猜新单词each和begin是什么意 思,并通过复习所学过含有字母组合ea的中单词(如teacher),以旧带新,让学生牢记each的读音。
(2)巩固活动
1. 教师播放Let’s learn more部分的录音,让学生模仿其语音语凋跟读课文。
2. 将学生分成四组朗读课文,前两句和最后三句集体朗读,而有关四个季节的句子则由每组读一句。
操练活动的设计与实施建议(Practice Activities)
(1)分组读课文
1. 教师将学生分为若干四人小组,每组学生集体读课文的前两句和最后三句,然后按座位前后的顺序,四个同学分别每人读短文中的有关四个季节的句子。各组的学生轮流读,读得最通顺的那组可得1分。
2. 教师分别从各组中挑选一位学生上台,以同样的方式朗读课文,读得不准确或读错的学生被淘汰,坚持到最后的一位学生为获胜者,其所在组加1分。
(2)Part B Think and discuss
1. 学生打开课本,翻到22页,先独自观察本部分的各幅图片,尝试简单描述。
2. 将学生分成四人一组,运用句型When is Women’s Day / Children’s Day /...? Women’s Day / Children’s Day / ... is on ...相互问答,讨论本部分各个节日的具体日期,最后填空。
3. 教师巡视、检查学生的完成情况,并注意纠正英文日期的错误表达。
4. 总结:教师就各个节日分别发问,随机选择学生作答,核对答案。

(1)课前热身

教师快速提问,要求学生等教师提问完并说:“Start!”之后再举手进行抢答,反之则为犯规。

2. Pair work
学生两人一组就本单元内容进行对话。要求学生对话时要尽量多地运用已学的语句,如:

课程展示活动和过程的设计建议(presentation)
(1)Part B Let’s chant
1. 教师播放本部分录音,让学生提前感知该歌谣的节奏。
2. 教师启发学生理解歌谣中的生词:merry, gay, far away等。
3. 教师播放录音中的读词部分,让学生跟读Let’s chant部分的歌词。教师可以逐句播放,以便学生能更好地读懂每一句。
4. 教师播放录音中说唱的部分,让学生跟随节奏一起说唱歌谣,也可以采用男生一句、女生一句的方式,有节奏地说唱歌谣。
5. 学生翻到课本22页,教师播放录音,学生边说唱歌谣边打拍子。
(2)Part C Think and write
本检测不仅可以考查学生对月份单词的掌握,同时也扩充了课外知识,即:有关各月份天数的常识。教师可启发学生结合思考一年的12个月中,每个月各是多少天,从而完成填空。
参考答案:28/29 days: February

(3)Part C Listen and tick
教师引导学生观察本部分的图片 ,并说出各个节日的名称和日期。
2. 教师播放Listen and tick部分的录音,让学生先了解本部分内容大意。
3. 教师再次播放录音,引导学生根据录音内容,找到相应的图片,并在图片上打勾。
本部分录音内 容如下:
Women’s Day is on March 8th. May Day is on May 1st. On June 1st, we have Children’s Day. And on September 10th, we have Teachers’ Day. Christmas Day is on December 25th.
参考答案:勾出三八妇女节、五一劳动节、六一儿童节、教师节和圣诞节
(4)Part C Read and answer
1. 学生先读本部分文后的四个问题,然后带着问题去阅读短文,并把自己不会的单词画出来。
2. 学生再读一遍短文,自己尝试结合上下文推测生词的意思。
3. 教师处理疑难点之后,随机挑选学生回答文后问题,如有错误,教师及时纠正, 核对答案。
教学建议: 建议教师在处理阅读题时,要求学生带着问题在短文中找答案,并学习结合上下文大意猜测生词的意思;回答问题时,最好用短文中的原句进行回答。

(1)宾果游戏
1. 教师让学生在本子上画—张3×3的表格。
2. 学生将所学的季节和月份的单词任选9个随意写在表格中,注意每格只能写一个单词。
3. 教师任意说12个月份和四季的单词,让学生听,如果教师所说的词与学生写的词相同,那么学生就可以划掉该词,直到划掉词中有三个词连成一条直线(每三个为一个单位,横三个、竖三个或斜三个均可)。学生可马上举手喊:“Bingo!”,表示胜利,喊“Bingo”数量最多者为赢者。
(2)小小解说员
学生画出各自最喜欢的季节,之后,上台向大家展示所画的画,并用所学句型描述自己喜欢的季节及其原因。如果学生在描述的时候出现错误,教师可及时给予纠正并鼓励其用正确的句子再说一遍。如果学生表达的句子不完整,教师可适当进行补充。如:
Look! My favorite season is spring. Because it is warm. It is from March to May. The trees are green and the flowers are beautiful. I often fly kites and plant trees in spring. ...
