教学目标:(看动画加深理解教学目标)
1.能听懂、会说、会读故事中出现的词汇garden, sweet, pest, ladybird, grow, go away
2.能较熟练演唱Polly, put the kettle on。
3.理解Cartoon time的故事内容,体会故事的幽默和角色情感变化,在教师的带领下,有感情朗读和生动地表演课文内容。

教学过程:
Cartoon time
Step 1 Lead in
1. Listen to Polly, put the kettle on
2. 齐唱歌曲Polly, put the kettle on
【设计意图:通过齐唱Polly, put the kettle on复习巩固上一节课所学歌曲,同时也借助于唱歌达到热身活动的目的,帮助学生以愉悦的心情进入英语课堂。】
Step 2 Game time
T: Now let’s play a game.
1. T: I have three phrases here. They are about Who, What and Where.
You should make a sentence with these phrases.
For example: you play football in the playground
You are playing football in the playground.
Jim’s father eat apples near the shop
Jim’s father is eating apples near the shop.
2. T: Do you like this game? Let’s look at the rules.
First, boys think about Who.
Next, girls think about What.
Then, I think about Where.
Finally, make a sentence as quickly as you can.
T: Are you ready? Go!
【设计意图:通过游戏的方式复习巩固现在进行时句型。本游戏的设计关注到班级全体学生,使每一个学生都能参与到游戏之中,积极思考句子,从而避免了个别学生表演的现象。】
Step 3 Cartoon time
1. Try to think(整个故事)
T: Today I’ll tell you a story about Bobby, the pest and the ladybird. (新授pest, ladybird)
T: What’s happening between them?
(1)Watch the cartoon.
(2) 利用图片引导学生说出大致的故事情节。
T: What does Bobby grow in his garden? (新授grow)
T: There are some pests on the grapes.
T: What are the pests doing there? (They’re eating Bobby’s grapes.)
T: Then, some ladybirds come. They help Bobby drive the pests away.
T: The pests go away, but the ladybirds don’t. What are they doing?
S: They’re eating Bobby’s grapes.
【设计意图:利用图片逐步引导学生说出大致故事情节,让学生对整个故事有初步的了解。同时,图片的引导能够帮助学生积极思考,有效理解故事大意。】
2. Try to think(四种心情)
T: What are Bobby’s feelings?
(1) happy and proud
T: At first, Bobby is happy and proud. Why? (PPT出示图1)
Because he has many grapes in his garden. They are big and sweet.
T: Please read after the tape and imitate Bobby. (学生模仿语气朗读Bobby的话)
(2) angry
T: Next, there are some pests on his grapes. (PPT出示图2)
So Bobby is very angry. What are they talking about? Let’s listen.
T: Please read after the tape and imitate. (学生听句子并模仿说)
(3) happy
T: Then, some ladybirds come. Look! What are they doing? (PPT出示图3)
They are helping Bobby drive the pests away.
T: Please read after the tape and try to act. (学生5人一组模仿表演)
(4) confused
T: The pests go away. But Bobby is confused. Why? (PPT出示图4)
Because the ladybirds are eating his grapes. What will Bobby say?
Please think and talk about it with your partner.

Step 1 Checkout time
1. Can you write?
出示Checkout time 中左边的6幅图片,让学生独立完成填空,然后校对答案。
2. Can you say?
(1) 出示Checkout time 右边插图,教师根据结合课件中的表格引导学生进行问答,教师可先以Helen做示范。
S1: Who is the girl? S2: She’s Helen.
S1: Where is she? S2: She’s in the bedroom.
S1: What’s she doing? S2: She’s reading books.
(2) 同桌结合图片中的其他人物问答操练。
(3) 同桌展示。
3. Can you number?
播放听力内容,学生完成编号练习,最后校对答案。
【设计意图:在进行Checkout time的板块练习时,教师将其内容进行了细腻处理。通过让学生先进行足够的思考和口头练习之后,再让他们完成相应练习。这样将复习内容分层达标,大大提高了学生的复习效率。】
