(一)教学内容分析
本单元的核心话题是对人物的外表进行描绘,个性进行比较。本单元的语言结构是形容词,副词比较级用法,这一语言结构在初中阶段的学习是教难理解和掌握的,需要大量的语言操练才能实现。所以在第一课时设计了这样一堂听说语法课,在创设的具体情境中去掌握比较级的用法。本节课的话题与学生的日常生活息息相关,所以,学生们会比较感兴趣。本节课的学习,对学生英语表达能力和综合能力也有很大的帮助。有助于提高他们为应用而主动学习和掌握语言知识的兴趣。
(二)教学目标
知识目标
形容词或副词比较级形式的构成。 表示两者进行比较的句式结构。
技能目标
1) 通过学习本课,学生能够用比较级句式表达。
2) 提高学生的听说读写技能
3) 鼓励学生实践、参与和合作活动
情感目标
能在小组活动中积极与他人合作,相互帮助,共同完成学习任务。

利用所学的目标语进行熟练交际。
(四) 学情分析
学习本单元之前,学生已经学过许多表达喜好的方式。但是用定语从句来表达喜好,对于学生来说,有一定的难度。教师要通过各种不同的语境跟学生交流,或者给学生提供不同的语境让学生互相练习,使学生扎实地掌握并运用定语从句表达喜好。

任务教学法,编排了一系列听说读写综合语言活动,让学生学会用比较级进行表达,这些活动紧贴学生的生活实际,极具真实性,
视听教学法,通过一些形象的图片,多媒体展示等方式,激发学生们的学习兴趣,从而使学生的个人经历成为课堂学习的有效图式,有助于学生对所获取的声音和文字英语信息的理解;有助于调动他们用英语表达自己的经验和感受兴趣和热情;有助于促进他们语言功能的运用

Step 1 Warming-up :
T:Where did you go on vacation?
S: ...............
T: I went to the Palace Museum
T: I went to the bird’s nest .The Olympics was held in the bird’s nest.
Do you know the spirits of Olympics?The spirits of Olympics: higher, faster and stronger.
Do you notice the three words are all ended with “er”? We call this“comparative”.Today,we will learn comparative. Now, look at some pictures.

Step 2 Presentation
1.T:Let’s look at the picture.
She is short.He is tall.
We can say: She is shorter than him. He is tall than her.
2.T:Let’s look at the picture.
The red box is big. The blue box is small.
We can say: The red box is bigger than the blue box. The blue box is smaller than the red box
I like music.I can dance to the music.
We can say: I like music that / which I can dance to.
3.T:Let’s look at the picture.
The ruler is long.The pencil is short.
We can say: The ruler is longer than the pencil. The pencil is shorter than the ruler.
- T:Let’s look at the picture.
The women are heavy.The men are thin.
We can say: The women are heavier than the men . The men are thinner than the women .

Step3.Grammar
形容词的比较级变化规则;
(1) 一般在词尾加er
(2) 以不发音的e字母结尾的加r,
(3) 以辅音字母加y结尾的变y为I加er
(4)以一个辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节词双写最后一个辅音字母再加er
(5) 多音节词前加more

Is Liu Yifei heavier than LinXinru?No,she isn’t. LinXinru is heavier than LiuYifei.

Is Song Xiaobao more outgoing than Guo Degang?Yes,he is
Is Guo Degang more outgoing than Song Xiaobao?
No, he isn’t. Song Xiaobao is more outgoing than Guo Degang.
T:Let’s look at the picture.
Does Gulinazha have longer hair than Zhenshuang?Yes,she does
Does Gulinazha have shorter hair than Zhenshuang?
No,she doesn’t. Zhenshuang has shorter hair than Gulinazha
Then work in pairs:

Yes,he/she is.
No,he/she isn’t. B is….than A.

Yes,he/she does.
No,he/she doesn’t. B has….than A
