设计说明 本单元以为妈妈挑选母亲节礼物导入购物话题,呈现了在不同场合下有关购物的一些交际用语。学生通过对话的学习,学会用“How many/much...?”对名词的数量进行提问;学会在真实语境中用“What colour...?”“What size...?”“How much...?”对物品颜色、尺码、价格进行询问;学会灵活使用购物用语,达到能用英语进行购物交谈、培养交际能力的目的。本单元不仅为第二、三单元提供了话题和语境,同时也为后面的学习准备语言和文化 教学目标 通过本单元的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标: 掌握单词和短语:market, supermarket, biscuit, lemon, strawberry, Mother’s Day, size, take, may, try, try on, certainly, wait a minute, sale, price, look, fresh。 2.能力目标: (1)能听懂有关购物的对话,获取对话的大意和细节信息; (2)能根据对话的内容和关键信息完成对话到语篇的信息转化并复述对话内容; (3)能用有关购物的交际用语进行价格、颜色和尺寸的谈论。 3.情感目标: 通过为母亲选择礼物,教育学生要以感恩的心关爱父母和他人。 重点难点 重点:掌握重点单词、短语和句型,并听懂、理解对话的内容。 难点:能够运用所学购物的交际用语进行交际。 教学准备 PPT 课件;图片,如苹果、香蕉、糖果、超市、市场、饼干、柠檬、草莓等;活动2、3、5的录音。 授课时数 2课时 教学过程 Step 1 Warming up 1. Ask the students to look at some pictures and talk like this: T: Look, boys and girls. I’ve got many things. What are they? Ss: They are apples...
T: Oh, you know them well. I’m going to the market to buy more things to eat. 2. Show more pictures about the new words.

lemon strawberry 3. Get the students to talk about what they would like to buy in pairs. 4. Let some pairs share their dialogues in class. Step 2 Practice 1. Ask the students to match the words and expression from the box with the pictures in Activity 1. 2. Check the answers together. Answers: clothes shop—3 market—1 supermarket—2 3. Organize the students to ask and answer in groups: where they can buy these things.
A: Where can you buy ...? B: I can buy...in a supermarket/clothes shop/market. Step 3 Listening and discussing 1. Play the tape and ask the students to listen and answer the questions. 1. What is Lingling going to buy for her mother on Mother’s Day? 2. What is Betty going to make for her mother? 3. What does Betty want to buy? 4. When are they going to the shops? 2. Check the answers. Answers: 1.A T-shirt. 2. A cake. 3. Strawberries, biscuits and some lemons. 4. Tomorrow afternoon. 3. Play the tape once again and let the students listen carefully. Ask them to discuss how to greet customers. Step 4 Listening and reading 1. Ask the students to listen to the dialogue in Activity 3 and read by themselves. 2. Let the students complete the table.
3. Check the answers in group. Answers: T-shirts—one, 99 yuan Sausages→half a kilo, 19 yuan Strawberries: one kilo, 10 yuan 4. Ask the students to circle the new words and expressions in the dialogue and to find out their meanings in group. 5. Ask two groups to act out the dialogue. Step 5 Language points 1. What can I do for you? 我能为你做点儿什么?/你想买点儿什么? “What can I do for you?”是商场中服务员或售货员对顾客常说的一句话,用于询问顾客的购物需求,有时也说“Can / May I help you?”或“Is there anything I can do for you?”。 —What can I do for you? 你想买点儿什么? —I’d like to buy a T-shirt. 我想买一件T恤衫。 [拓展] 顾客在回答时常用的句子还有: I want to buy…我想买…… I’m looking for…我在找…… Could I look at…?我可以看看……吗? 2. I’d like to buy a T-shirt for my mum. 我想给我妈妈买一件T恤衫。 buy sth. for sb.相当于buy sb. sth.,意为“给某人买某物”。动词buy后面有两个宾语,一个是表示物的,叫直接宾语,另一个是表示人的,叫间接宾语。 My parents buy many books for me. = My parents buy me many books. 我父母给我买许多书。 [注意]当表示物的宾语是代词时,只能用buy sth. for sb. 这一结构。 Mum, I like this pen. Can you buy it for me? 妈妈,我喜欢这支钢笔,你能为我买吗? 3. What size do you take? 你穿多大号码的? what size意为“多大号码”,用来提问服装或鞋帽的尺码大小。 —What size of sweater do you take? 你穿多大号码的毛衣? —Large.大号的。 [联想]what colour意为“什么颜色”。 —What colour do you like best, Lingling. 玲玲,你最喜欢什么颜色? —Green. 绿色。 4. May I try it on?我可以试穿一下吗? (1)may情态动词,意为“可以”。“May I...?”意为“我可以……吗?”, 用于征求对方许可。肯定回答通常为:Yes,please./Of course./Certainly.等;否定回答通常为:Sorry,you can’t. /I am afraid you can’t.等。 —May I come in? 我可以进来吗? —Yes. Come in please. 可以,请进吧。 (2)try on意为“试穿”,是“动词+副词”型短语,名词作其宾语时,放在on的前后皆可;代词作其宾语时,必须放在on的前面。 May I try on the hat? =May I try the hat on? 我能试戴这顶帽子吗? This shirt is nice. Please try it on. 这件衬衣很漂亮,请试穿一下。 5. That’s too much. 太贵了。 too much在这儿表示“价钱太高了”。另外,它经常表示数量上“太多”,修饰不可数名词。 The students have too much homework to do every day. 学生们每天有太多的作业要做。 辨析:too much, too many与much too
6. How much are they? 它们多少钱? “How much is / are…?”是一个询问价格的句型,意为“……多少钱?”。回答时用“It is…”或“They are…”。另一个询问价格的句型是“What’s the price of…?”。 —How much is the camera? 这台相机多少钱? —It’s 3,000 yuan. 3 000元。 What’s the price of the bike? 这辆自行车的价格是多少? 辨析:how much与how many
7. Oh, the strawberries look fresh. 噢,这些草莓看起来很新鲜。 look此处用作连系动词,意为“看起来”,后面通常接形容词作表语。 The piano looks new. 这台钢琴看起来很新。 The girls don’t look happy. 这些女孩看上去不高兴。 [拓展] look like意为“看起来像……”,like作介词,意为“像”。 The little boy looks like his mother. 这个小男孩看起来像他的母亲。 Step 6 Practice 1. Ask the students to read the words in the box in Activity 4. 2. Complete the sentences with the correct form of the words from the box. 3. Check the answers together. Answers: 1.fresh; price; Everything 2. size; Certainly; half Step 7 Pronunciation and presentation 1. Play the recording and ask the students to repeat in Activity 5. 2. Ask the students to work in pairs. Student A: You’re a customer. Buy a present for a family member or a friend. Use the sentences in Everyday English and Activity 3 to help you. Student B: You’re a shop worker. Help Student A buy a present for his/her family member or friend. 3. Let some pairs present their conversation in class. Step 8 Homework 1. Read the conversation. 2.
