设计说明 首先利用一张世界地图来谈论亚洲及一些亚洲国家的情况导入本课节。通过呈现中国特有事物的图片来学习新词,同时对学生进行中国传统文化的熏陶,激发学生的兴趣和民族自豪感,也为学习B部分营造氛围。通过听录音和阅读回答问题,使学生理解B部分的对话。通过展现长城的图片,顺利引领学生进入Comic strip部分的学习。通过听录音和阅读帮助学生理解本部分内容。通过表演使学生进一步把握漫画,体悟人物的情感,激发他们参与课堂的热情。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握词汇:tiring, step, chopsticks 2.能力目标 (1)学习了解与中国有关事物的名称; (2)学习了解中国一些风景名胜的名称。 3.情感目标 增强学生对国家和民族的自豪感。 重点难点 1.重点:用恰当的词汇和表达描述中国特有的事物与名胜。 2.难点:了解北京的风景与文化,并用英语来表达自己的想法。 教学准备 PPT课件 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in Show students a map of the world. Ask students to point out where the seven continents are. Pay special attention to the location of Asia. Use some questions to encourage students to talk more. Questions: Where is Thailand/ South Korea/ Malaysia/ Singapore/ Indonesia/ Japan? Who has been there? /Has anyone visited any other country in Asia? What country would you like to visit?
Step 2 Presentation Enjoy more pictures about Chinese things. We can start with China to know more about Asia. Ask students what China is famous for, showing pictures and presenting words about Chinese things.

A: What places of interest have you been to in China? B: ...... A: Can you tell us something about those places? B: ...... A: Do you know something special about Chinese culture? B: ...... Step 4 Work on Part B 1. Listen to their conversation and find out the answers. Kevin, a British exchange student, is asking Millie for suggestions on his travel plan. (1) Which city does Millie advise Kevin to start? (2) What special things can he see in Beijing? Answers: (1) She advises Kevin to start from Beijing. (2) He can see Beijing opera. 2. Read their conversation and find out the answers. Ask students to read the conversation carefully and answer the questions. (1) What places are wonderful in Beijing? (2) What is Chinese opera? Answers: (1)Tian’anmen Square, the Palace Museum and the Great Wall. (2)It’s a kind of traditional Chinese art. 3. Read the conversation in pairs. Step 5 Lead-in Have a short introduction of the Great Wall.
It is built over the mountains. It is built to protect the country and the people. Step 6 Comic strip 1. Ask students to listen to the Comic and answer the following questions. (1)What does Hobo think of the Great Wall? (2)Does Eddie like visiting the Great Wall? (3)Do you think Eddie will continue to the end? Answers: (1) He thinks it’s amazing. (2) No, he doesn’t. (3) No, he won’t.
2. Ask students to read the Comic and answer the following questions. (1) What happened to Eddie’s feet? (2) What was he doing then? (3) What did Hobo advise Eddie to do? Answers: (1) His feet hurt. (2) He was taking a rest. (3) He advised Eddie to keep moving. 3. Drills Ask students to read loudly and try to act it out. 4. Practice Ask students to read the Comic and fill in the blanks. One day, Hobo and Eddie ________ the Great wall. Hobo thought it was ________ to climb the Great Wall, but Eddie felt very ________. Wow, the Great Wall is amazing, isn’t it? 哇!长城真壮观啊,不是吗? 本句是反意疑问句,用来征求对方的看法。反意疑问句由两部分组成,前一部分是陈述句,后一部分是附加问句,中间用逗号隔开。附加问句一般由“be动词/助动词/情态动词+代词”构成。两部分的人称、时态应保持一致。 (1)反意疑问句的两种形式: a. 前肯定,后否定。 He likes cats, doesn’t he? 他喜欢猫,不是吗? b. 前否定,后肯定。 This isn’t your book, is it? 这不是你的书,是吗? (2)答语: 反意疑问句也用yes或no作答,事实是肯定的就用yes,事实是否定的就用no。 —He is your teacher, isn’t he? 他是你的老师,不是吗? —Yes , he is. 是的,他是。/ No, he isn’t. 不,他不是。 —Li Ming can’t swim , can he? 李明不会游泳,是吗? —Yes, he can. 不,他会。/ No, he can’t. 是的,他不会。 (3)陈述部分若是let’s开头的祈使句,其附加问句为shall we;不是以let’s开头的祈使句,附加问句可用won’t you。 Let’s meet at the airport, shall we? 咱们在机场见,可以吗? Have a little more wine, won’t you? 再喝点儿酒,可以吗? 2. Wake me up on your way back. 在你回来的路上叫醒我。 wake up ①叫醒 是“动词+副词”结构的短语, 若宾语是名词,可放在up后面,也可放在wake与up中间;若宾语是人称代词,则只能放在wake和up中间。 Please wake me up at 6:00 a.m. 请在早上6点叫醒我。 ②醒来 表示自行醒来,其后不接宾语。 I often wake up at 6:00 a.m. 我经常在早上6点醒来。 Step 8 Homework 1.
