    Step1 Leading–in
    Intrduce the tpic f endangered wildlife alng with related vcabulary and warm up fr the activities which fllw.
    Shw the unit cver picture and lead the students int the tpic by asking questins.

    Suggested answers: When I see this pht I think abut Africa and all the amazing animals that live there.
    (2) Hw much d yu knw abut elephants?
    Suggested answers: Elephants' large ears help them t hear and making them lk larger when they are in danger. Their tusks are used fr finding fd and fr prtectin. Their trunk is a versatile tl which they use fr many things including t breathe, smell, pick things up and t suck up water.
    (3) D yu think that elephants are an endangered species?
    Suggested answers: African elephants are the wrld's largest land mammal. All male and female African elephants have tusks whereas nly ne Asian type des. African elephants als have a larger runder head than Asian nes.
    Elephants’ tusks are made f ivry, a material which has histrically been a much desired and is the main reasn they have been hunted.

    step 4 while-listening
    Listen t the first part and cmplete the passage in activity 2.
    Let the students read the passage f activity 2 first, and try t fill in the blanks with apprpriate wrds. At the same time, pay attentin t the meaning f the new wrds.
    Listen and fill in the blanks. Then check the answers.
    Answers: wildlife, lss, prtect.
    Tell students they will hear the audi dialgue again withut pausing. Yu can chse the first r secnd part, r bth. Ask them t write dwn just the key wrds f the dialgue. They shuldn't write dwn "little" wrds such as prnuns, articles, and prepsitins.
    Then in pairs they must cmpare their ntes and recnstruct the riginal dialgue befre reading it t the class. It des nt have t be exactly the same, but it must be grammatically crrect.

    Give students a chance t apply what they have learnt in the previus listening activities thrugh a discussin.
    What des "Change begins with yu" mean?
    Suggested answers: It means that if we want things t change, we must change urselves first and nt wait fr thers t change first. I think it tells us that we must be the change we want t see in the wrld.
    Wrap up and give students pprtunities t apply what they have learnt in the previus listening activities thrugh discussin and adapting a rle-play.

    Practise reading and listening fr syllable stress.
    Wrk in pairs. Read the wrds alud t each ther, and put them int the crrect grups.
    Suggested answers:
    Practise identifying the stress patterns f the plysyllabic wrds and prnuncing them.
    Ask students t listen t the cnversatin in Activity 5, practise identifying the stress patterns f the plysyllabic wrds.
