    1 In this lesson, the students will master the key words: straight, curly, tall, thin, heavy, of medium height, of medium build, handsome.

    3 Give the students listening practice to help them recognize and use the target language in natural speech.

    4 Every student mustn’t judge people by their looks and should be friendly to others.

    Put the following into English orally, and then write them down without looking at the book.

    2 Then play the recording for them to listen and imitate.

    4 Then ask Ss to practice it for 2 minutes and then ask some pairs to role-play the conversation, see which group is the best.

    5 Last let Ss fill in the blanks in the rewriting passage.

    本节课亮点:运用真实的情景进行练习,通过对Section A部分的学习,大部分学生能够通过听说训练了解并掌握本部分的目标语言What does he/she look like?以及对问题作出回答。通过学习,学生掌握了如何描述人的长相。

    不足之处:当堂检测课本上的练习,由于时间关系讲解不是很详细,程度较好的学生能够提前预习,跟老师的步骤去听,去做,但程度稍差的学生只能把握住最简单的句型,我想这样也体现了人教版新目标这套教材分层次教学的目标。

    使用建议:练习的时候可以让学生学会自我检测,或者同组之间去检查答案,节省时间,而且还可以锻炼学生自学能力。
