Tim Berners-Lee
He was brn in Lndn, England in 1955. He studied science at Oxfrd University. He made his first cmputer frm an ld televisin at the age f 21. In 1989, Tim Berners-Lee invented the Wrld Wide Web (WWW) all by himself. He received A.M. Turing Award in 2017.

The first webcam was created by cmputer scientists at the University f Cambridge in 1991. What did it film? A cffee pt utside the ffice. These scientists used the webcam t see frm their desks whether the pt was empty t avid wasted trips fr cffee.

Emjis, small digital images used t express ideas r feelings in electrnic cmmunicatin, were created in 1999 in Japan. The creatr was inspired by Japanese cmics, street signs and Chinese characters. Sn emjis tk ff thrughut the wrld. Oxfrd Dictinaries selected , the "Face with Tears f Jy" emji, as the Wrd f the Year 2015.
