After breakfast, I went n a trip t the cuntryside with my friends. All the grass and trees were green. We played catch and made maple syrup. Later, we had a picnic near the lake. We had sandwiches and milk.
    After lunch, we fed the geese. ‘Hnk! Hnk!’ The geese lve bread! Then the sky became dark. There were many cluds. It began t rain! We ran t the car, but it was t late. We were all wet! We all laughed. What a great day!”
    “Great wrk, Steven! Let’s give him a big hand, class,”says Mr. Jnes. (The class claps ludly.) “Tday is anther gd day,” Steven thinks.

    Maple syrup cmes frm the sap f the maple tree. It is a very interesting prcess. First, yu put a tap in the tree s the sap can cme ut easily. The fresh sap frm the tree is nt sweet and it has almst n taste. Next, yu bil the sap. This makes the sap thick and sweet. Nw yu have maple syrup.

    My Special Day It was my special day last Sunday. It was spring. The weather was sunny and warm. It was special because it was my mther’s frtieth birthday. It was my first time t buy the present fr my mther. And I made mney by myself. My mther was very excited! Hw happy we were! I’ll never frget that day!

    It’s ne’s turn t d sth. 意思是“轮到某人做某事”, 其中ne’s必须是形容词性物主代词 (如: my, his等)或名词所有格。
    【例句】It’s my turn t clean the classrm. 轮到我打扫教室了。It’s Lucy’s turn t sweep the flr. 轮到露西扫地了。
    take turns 依次; 轮流【例句】Dctrs take turns t watch the patient.医生们轮流观察病人。

    play catch意为“玩传(接)球游戏”。此处catch作名词, 意为“传(接)球”。catch还可作动词, 意为“赶上; 追上; 接住; 抓住; 患病; 感染上”。

    在短语have a picnic中, have作实义动词。have作实义动词时意思有:

    feed v. (fed / fed) 喂; 喂养【例句】I feed my dg everyday. 每天我都喂我的狗。
    feed sth.t sb. / sth. = feed sb. / sth. n sth. 用某物喂某人/物【例句】She feeds fish t the cat. = She feeds the cat n fish. 她给猫喂鱼。
    feed n 以为食【例句】Hrses feed n grass. 马以草为食。
    gse n. 鹅gse的复数为geese。除了gse, 以下两个名词变复数也是把-变为-ee: ft → feet 脚; tth → teeth 牙齿。

    wet adj.意为“湿的”, 反义词是dry adj.意思是“干的”; wet还可以用作动词, 意思是“把弄湿”。
    wet的常用短语有:get wet 淋湿 wet thrugh 湿透

    give sb. a big hand 给某人热烈鼓掌, 此处的big表示“热烈的”。
