Step 1 Lead-in
Who did you see in the video? What did they do?It's necessary to help the atheletes. It's helpful to show the way to visitors.
Step 2 Presentation
Task 1: Show Pictures we have learned before and pictures we’ll learn in the future. Ask students to make sentences of the same kind.
Task 2: Ask Ss to rule out the sentence structure “it’s +adj+ to do sth.”
Step 3 Talking about the voluntary work
1. Task3: Look and say
T: To plant more trees and keep the parks clean are good for our environment. It's
important to plant more trees. Ask Ss to make sentences.
2. Task4: Pair work asking about the voluntary work.
3. Task5: Work out the rule It is + adjective + for sb. +to do sth.
4. Practise: Task6: Ask Ss to write down adjs (important, necessary, possible, difficult...)on the blackboard, make sentences, using“ It is adj for sb. to do sth.”
Step 4 Say good or bad(say Yes or No to the following behaviors)
Task 7 Look and say
T: It's clever of you to make so many sentences. (Tell Ss clever is a special word, we
use it to describe people's quality. So we use of sb. instead of for sb.)
Show pictures, ask Ss to make sentences.
Step5 Consolidation
Tell the differences between for sb. and of sb., and then finish exercises.
