In the afternoon, we began to write the alumni book to each student, leaving our best wishes. Before we left, we cleaned the classroom. He was so careful and helpful that it didn’t take long to get us on the trail. At first, we were all scared to take the first step in our skis. When we saw others having so much fun, we set out. Although we had several falls, none of us gave up. With great efforts, we were able to keep balance and ski more confidently. We played happily and felt a sense of achievement.

    It was a sunny day today and I went to Renmin Park for a spring outing. The moment I entered the park, a variety of beautiful flowers and green trees came into sight. Two schoolgirls jumped over the fence to pick flowers and climb the tree. Obviously, they didn’t realize that their behavior had done great damage to the beauty of the park. Without hesitation, I went up and stopped them politely. Quite embarrassed, the two girls came out immediately. Then they took pictures outside the fence. Seeing that, I smiled and everything looked nicer in my eyes.

    Last Friday, our class paid a visit to Beijing Planning Exhibition Hall, which opened our eyes to the continuous physical trans- formation of the ancient city.
    The visit started with a warm welcome from a docent at the entrance, who briefly introduced the main thematic areas. Once in- side, we were attracted to an exhibition that gave a vivid account of Beijing’s history. To my excitement, on a huge map I could even find what my local area was like years ago.  How incredible to have hutongs transformed into high-rise buildings.
    The hall displayed more than just the history of Beijing. In a documentary entitled “Beautiful Beijing”, we learned in amazement how Beijing has become a modern city with giant skyscrapers and new landmarks. Afterwards, following the docent, we came to an urban planning model which displayed a more vibrant Beijing with buildings, transportation and facilities planned for the future.
    Before leaving, I left a message on the board, expressing my best wishes to my hometown. Then I headed home with a smile as well as a wonderful picture of Beijing’s future in mind.
