Besides, we worked together to find solutions, such as chewing gums, doing exercise and so on. Eventually she quit altogether!

                             When Parents Fail to Meet Our Demands
    In our daily life, we often ask our parents for something. However, there are cases where we are refused.
    Once I solved a learning problem with my desk mate’s electronic dictionary. Finding it so helpful, I asked my parents to buy one. Much to my surprise, they turned me down although I insisted. For days I was in low spirits. Later my parents explained that they feared the games in it might affect my study. I came to realize their good intention and cheered up.
    In my view, when parents fail to meet our demands, we should put ourselves in their shoes, for they might have good reasons for their refusal. Only in this way can we avoid conflicts from demands.
