    Module1 Unit2全英教学设计

    课题

    Unit 2 We bought ice creams

    教学目标

    1. To roughly understand the writing format of an English letter.
    2. To understand and read aloud the contents of the letter without any pronunciation errors.
    3. To be able to use the sentence pattern Did you...? Yes, I did./ No, I didn't. to talk about things happened in the past. e.g. describe a trip.
    4. To master the basic rules of pronunciation of letters or letter combinations e/ee/i/e/a in words.

    教学重点

    1. Students can understand, comprehend, and read aloud the contents of the letter.
    2. Students can correctly use the sentence patterns Did you? Yes, I did./ No, I didnt. in different scenarios.

    教学难点

    Students can make correct uses of simple past tense to describe what was done in the past.

    教学准备

    Teacher preparation: multimedia courseware, textbook recordings

    Student Preparation: Pre-class preparation

    教学过程

    1.Warm-up Activity

    1)        Teacher displays the slide and asks a student to make the question Did you… yesterday? with the action phrase that is behind the block hit by Mario, and to answer the question made according to the picture shown.

     

    2.Look, Listen and Say

    1)        Teacher asks students a prompting question How can Daming get in touch with Lingling? before play the video clip.

    2)        Students watch and listen to the video.

    3)        After the video, teacher asks students How many contact ways mentioned in the dialogues presented?

    4)        Teacher carries close reading of the dialogues. (extract meaning from text by examining carefully words and phrases.)

    5)        Students practice dialogues with their partners.

     

    3.Listen and Read

    1)        Teacher leads in the text by asking the question what is the postcard about? to arouse students interest.

    2)        Then teacher asks students to watch the video and do a timely reflection in which students are required to say what they have heard as much as they can.  

    3)        Teacher shows the whole letter and elaborates more on some grammar use and letter format in the text.

    4)        Teacher extracts the simple past tense of verbs occurring in the letter, and teaches both base form and simple past form.  

    5)        Students are asked to read the letter group by group without any pronunciation errors.

    6)        Students answer questions with the reference to the letter.

     

    4.Listen and Repeat

    1)        Teacher plays video and asks the whole class to repeat after it.

    2)        Teacher explains each sound and gives extra examples to students.

    3)        Students read all words together.

    4)        Students listen and sing the song The London Eye”.

     

    5.Follow and Say

    1)        Teacher guides students to describe what they did yesterday by asking in complete question sentence What did you do yesterday?

    2)        Teacher gives example sentences (slide22) and plays sentences chain game.

     

    6. Look and Say

    1)        Teacher guides students to talk about a trip they have experienced by showing them an example text.

    2)        Students are required to make up new dialogues with their group partners.

    3)        Teacher gives students some ideas of what they can include in their own dialogues.

    4)        Rest of class time will be given to them for group discussions.

    Yesterday I went shopping with my mum.

    No, I didn’t.

    课后作业

    1. Listen to and read aloud the letter on page 5. Learn to sing the song The London Eye on page 6.
    2. Use the example dialogues of page 7, come out with new dialogues with your partner on the topic of A weekend trip.
    3. Complete the synchronous exercises.

     

    教学反思

    1. When students are doing self-speaking, teacher as a facilitator should correct words pronunciation if there is any.
    2. When doing group discussions, teacher has to walk around the classroom and monitor each group’s or pair’s progress.
