一、教材分析

本课教材为外研社《英语》（新标准）（三年级起点）六年级下册Module3 Unit2 The cows are drinking water.本单元的话题是谈论照片。课文情境是Daming寄给Lingling一封信和照片。在这张照片里，Daming他们在山里玩，阳光明媚，微风轻拂，牛在喝水，小鸟在唱歌，鸭子在游泳，小兔子一蹦一跳，Daming和Simon在玩捉迷藏。他们玩得十分开心。这一单元在语言上在学习第一单元的基础上进一步巩固复习现在进行时的运用，任务是写故事，分享故事，语言相对难度不大，教师应给学习有困难的学生更多的展示机会。本单元共1课时完成。

二、学情分析

本单元的学习重点是仍是学习运用现在进行时描场景。学生们对这一语言结构已经很熟悉，所以这一课对学生来说理解起来比较容易。但随着年级的提升，英语难度的增加，学困生可能会越落越多，从而失去学习兴趣，所以在今天的课堂中，老师应该多给他们一些表现的机会，树立自信心，维持学习兴趣。也相信同学们在本单元的学习结束后能够用英语描述照片，写一个有趣的小故事。

三、教学目标

1、语言技能

⑴ 全体学生能听懂“The cows are drinking water.”

⑵ 全体学生能说：“The cows are drinking water.”

⑶ 全体学生能认读课文，阅读相关短文。

⑷ 全体学生能按要求完成语句书写。

2、语言知识

⑴全体学生能够初步运用语句: “The cows are drinking water.”

⑵ 全体学生能够理解词汇:cow, blow, rabbit.全体学生能运用“cow”,部分学生能运用：blow, rabbit.

⑶复习现在进行时的用法。

⑷能感知单词重音和句子重读。

3、情感态度：能体会到学习英语的乐趣。

4、学习策略：尝试阅读英语故事及其他英语课外读物。

5、文化意识：知道英语国家中典型的食品和饮料名称。

复习和巩固现在进行时的用法，学习介绍图片，描述图片或照片中的情景，讲述小故事。

六、教学过程：

（一）复习导入Warm-up and lead in（6分钟）

1. Greetings.

2. Play a guessing game.

 T：Let’s play a game. Look! Read quickly and guess. Where are they? Can you guess?

S: They are in the supermarket.

Go on guessing four photos.

3.Retell M3U1.

 T:Excellent boys and girls.Let’s go on talking about the pictures.

  Look! Who can talk?

S:In this photo,the sun is shining….

4. Lead-in.

a. Watch the CD-ROM and answer the question.

T: In this photo, Simon is looking at the ducks. In this photo, What is Simon doing? Let’s watch the CD-ROM.

Ss: (After watching the CD-ROM.) He is cleaning his room.

T:Is the cat helping Simon?

S:No.

T:It isn’t helping Simon.It’s very naughty.

b. Listen and repeat.

（二）任务呈现Task presentation（2 分钟）

1. Show the task.

T: (ppt)Today we’ll go on learning to use the Present Continuous Tense to describe some photos or the situations of some photos. After that, we can help a girl finish a story like those.

(今天我们将继续学习使用现在进行时来描述图片或者图片里的场景.学完本课后，我们将用现在进行时完成一个故事。）

2.Have a match.

T:Today let’s have a match between two teams, they are Team Daming and Team Simon.

（三）课文学习Text learning（14分钟）

1. Introduce the situation of Activity2 and watch the CD-ROM of Activity 2 with the question

T:Last class,we know Daming wrote a letter with some photos to Lingling.Today Daming wrote another letter with one photo to Lingling.

T: Look at this photo, What can you see in this photo?

S:I can see some ducks /rabbits /birds…. （学生说一个，老师往黑板上粘一个）。

T:Yes,we can see so many things.Where are Daming and Simon?Can you guess?

S:They are in the park/mountains…

 Let’s watch the CD-ROM.

2. Read and answer.

T: Do you want to know more about the picture?

S: Yes.
