1. Could you please pass me the salt? 你把盐递给我好吗？

pass v.递；传递 pass sb. sth.=pass sth. to sb. 把某物递给某人v.经过；通过

如：She passed a cup of tea to me. 她递给我一盒茶叶。

2. Could I borrow that book?我能借那本书吗？

borrow v.借 borrow sth. from sb. 从某人处借某物，表示将东西借入。lend 也是“借用”的意思，但lend是表示把东西“借出”。lend sth. to sb.= lend sb. sth.把某人借给某人。

如：I couldn't afford to buy any books, so I borrowed them from the library. 我一本书也买不起，只好从图书馆借。

3. a. Could you please take the dog for a walk? 请你遛狗好吗？                 

b. Could I watch one show first? 我可以先看一个节目吗？

c. Finally, I could not find a clean dish or a clean shirt.最后，我找不到一个干净的盘子和衬衫。

肯定回答用：Yes，sure./ Yes, I can./ Of course, I can./ No problem./ With pleasure.

否定回答用：Sorry, I can’t. I have to…/ Sorry, I’m going to…/ I am afraid I can’t. I have to…

② could 用于第一人称，表示希望得到对方的许可。常用句型为

“Could I +___________...?”意为“我可以做……..吗？”。

肯定回答用：Yes, you can./ Yes, please.

否定回答用：Sorry, you can’t./ I’m afraid you can’t.

4. I hate some chores, too. 我也讨厌做家务。

hate v. 厌恶；讨厌

+n. /pron. 不喜欢/憎恨某人/某物

          +to do sth. 不喜欢做某事（表示具体的动作或行为）

          +doing sth. 不喜欢做某事（表示经常性的动作或行为）

hate               to do sth.

          +sb.                   不喜欢/憎恶别人做某事

hate=dislike“不喜欢”,  dislike只能跟动词-ing形式，不能跟动词不定式。               

如：I hate rainy days, and I hate going /to go out in rainy days.

   我讨厌雨天, 更讨厌雨天外出。
