Step1: Reviewing

Review some words and phrases learnt in the last lesson by doing some exercises (Complete the sentences)

Make the students learn to use the words correctly

Step 2: New words

 Learn the new words with the help of some pictures or examples: actress, actor

Motivate the Ss and learn about some new words and expressions

Step 3: Think about it

Who’s your favourite actor or actress?

Can you name some people who work behind the scenes on movies and plays?

Encourage the students to use English to talk about the topic and to express their ideas

Step 4: New Concept

I. Listening

Ask the students to listen to the tape and answer the question:

What do most people focus on when they study movies and plays?

 Answer: Actors or actresses.

II. Read and do the exercises in the textbook

Ask the students to read the text by themselves and then do the exercises

Get to know more about the content and key information about the lesson.

Students can understand better through reading and listening.

II. all和whole的区别
whole一般位于冠词、物主代词或别的限定词之后，而all必须位于这些词前。例如，
all the time = the whole time整个时间
all this afternoon = the whole afternoon 整个下午
all my life = my whole life 我的一生
all the class = the whole class 整个班级
〔注〕如名词前没有限定词，不能用whole，如可说all day，不能说whole day。whole一般不能修饰不可数名词或物质名词，修饰复数名词时一般前面有数量词，而all可用于各种情况。例如：all the money（不说the whole money）,three whole days整三天
