The packs weigh abut three grams, r abut tw times the weight f the cckraches themselves. “Cckraches are very strng,” says Ralph Hlzer, wh is a researcher at Tky University. “They can lift 20 times their wn weight.”
With a remte cntrl, the scientists send signals t the packs. When a cckrach gets the signal, it mves. The prblem is that the cckraches dn’t always mve in the right directin.

5.A。break int ne’s huse
10.A。根据短语ffer a reward f“提供……
11.C。whether…r nt…
,get n well with sth./sb.
15. A。由于“I had shwed t my friends”作The necklace 的定语,句子中还缺少单数谓语动词,从后面句子可知,应为一般过去时,故选A。

2. C。由答语“He is a pliceman.”
6. C。由下文的“it was a sparrw”可知,这里应选bird。
7.B。由后面的kissed him可知,这里应是smiled at him。故选B。
9. C。tuch ne’s heart
10. A。 由“His face turned red”可知,A项正确。

1. A。根据第三段中的“Insects can d many things that peple can’t”可知,科学家将蟑螂变成机器人是因为他们想让蟑螂在将来做一些人类不能够做的事情,故选A。
2. D。根据第三段中的“They will be able t mve thrugh earthquake rubble(瓦砾)t lk fr peple r mve under drs t find infrmatin abut smene.”
3. B。根据最后一段中的“With a remte cntrl, the scientists send signals t the packs. When a cckrach gets the signal, it mves.”
4. B。根据文章的最后一句“The prblem is that the cckraches dn’t always mve in the right directin.”
5. A。由第一段第二句“They wear fancy clthes and drive fancy cars.”和该段第三句“My mm wears her gardening clthes when she walks me t schl.” 故选A。
8. A。 因此,最佳标题为“My Mm Isn’t Fancy”。故选A。
