Ⅱ. Presentatin
1. Shw a maxim t Ss: A friend indeed is a friend in need.
Ask, what kind f things are imprtant in a friend?
Ⅲ. Reading and writing
Wrk n 1a:
1. Read each descriptin t the class and ask the Ss t repeat.
What kind f things is imprtant in a friend? Rank the things belw 1-6 (1 is mst imprtant)
Ask different Ss t cpy the six phrases n the Bb. Then read the phrases tgether.
2. Read each descriptin ludly. In yur pinin, which ne is the mst imprtant? Please rank the things (1-6). Yu put a 1 after the thing that is mst imprtant t yu, and put a 2 after the secnd mst imprtant thing and s frth. Nw let’s check which things are mst imprtant t yu.
Wrk n 1b:
1. Well, every ne f yu has his wn idea. Nw please talk abut what yu think a gd friend shuld be like in grups f fur. First read the example dialgue, and then make yur dialgue abut friends using the phrases in activity 1a.

1. Next yu will hear an interviewer talking t Mlly and Mary. What are they talking abut? When I play the recrding fr the first time, yu just listen carefully and give me the answer. Have yu gt it? Yes, they are talking abut their best friends. Nw lk at the chart, and write the things that Mlly and Mary like abut their best friends. Yu can write nly wrds and phrases. Let’s check yur answers.
3. T: Nw let's wrk n 1c. Let’s listen t the tape again and fill in the rest f the chart in 1c.
