Step 1: Revision

Revise the main contents learned in last period and have a dictation.

Step2: New words

Read the new words from mountain to rainy, and then have a dictation.

Step3: 2bReading 

1. Let the students read the postcard quickly and then answer the questions:

1)     Who can get the two postcards?

2)     Who write the two postcards?

3)     Where is Su Lin and where is Dave?

4)     How is the weather in Canada? And how is the weather in Europe?

5)     What is Su Lin doing in Canada? How about Dave?

2. Students read the postcards again and fill in the chart in 2c.

3. Explain some key and difficult points:

(1)  Have a great time doing sth.  

(2)  Be happy to do sth.

(3)  Right now 

(4)  By the pool 

(5)  Summer vacation

(6)  Be on a vacation

4.Read the postcards loudly and try to recite it..

1. Tell the students what they will do in this step and let them complete the passage..
2. Check the answers.

Step 5 Writing

 Let the students write notes about their vacation , according to the five questions:

 1)Where are you?   2) What’s the weather like?

3) What are you doing right now?  4) What are your friends or family doing?

5) Are you having a good time?

1. Revise the words about feelings, weather and activities then add more words and phrases in each box in self-check1.Chenck the answers.
2. Match the sentences on the left with the responses on the right.
