I. Leading-in

（导入活动）

1. Greet the students as usual.（日常问候）
2. Revision（复习）

T: Can you play the guitar?

S: Yes, I can./No, I can’t.

T: Can he play the drums?

S: Yes, he can./No, he can’t.

通过师生对话形式的复习，检查学生对于上个单元情态动词的掌握情况。

II．Presentation

（呈现）

1.Ask and answer.

T: What can you do?

S: I can play the guitar.

T: What club do you want to join?

S: I want to join the music club.

T: What about you?(to the other students)

Ask individual students.

通过问答，进一步呈现目标语言。锻炼学生的口语表达能力。

III．Practice

（练习）

A. Read the conversation between Jane and Bob, and answer the questions:

1. What club does he/she want to join?
2. What are they good at?

B. Role-play the conversation.

First get the students to practice the conversation in pairs, and the invite some pairs to role-play the conversation.

Have a match between groups. Which group performs better?

课本中2d部分的对话是很好的训练材料，充分利用好对话，对其中重要句型以及情态动词的用法进行反复练习，让学生在不断的练习中掌握它们的用法。

IV．Consolidation

(巩固提升)

1. Grammar Focus（语法总结）
   情态动词can小结：后面总是接动词原形,没有人称和数的变化.意思是“能，会”，可记口诀：
   情动can表能力，和行为动词不分离；
   不管主语如何变,，can的模样永不变；
   只要出现情动can，动词原形后面站；
   一般疑问can提前，否定can后not添。
   B. Exercises: (趁热打铁多练习）
   1.They can play basketball after class.
   (改为一般疑问句,并作肯定和否定回答.)

   2.Li Lin can sing in English.(改为否定句)

通过这一课时的学习，学生对于情态动词的用法基本上了解了，通过对“Grammar Focus”的讲解和口诀记忆，让学生牢固掌握其用法。这一部分是考试的重点，应趁热打铁多做练习，通过练习的形式，加以巩固。

1. Revise the usage of the model verb “can”. 复习情态动词“can”的用法。
2. Make a conversation after 2d.
3. Preview Section B.
