Language Pints1. —When is Alice’s birthday? ——艾丽斯的生日是什么时候?—Her birthday is n September 5th. ——她的生日是9月5日。
1) when作疑问副词时, 意为“什么时候,何时”, 常用于对日期和时刻进行提问。例如: When is the party? 晚会是什么时候?
2) 名词后加“’ s”这是名词所有格的形式,表示所有, 意为“……的”。例如: This is Tm’s bk. 这是汤姆的书。名词所有格的变化规则:①以s结尾的复数名词只在词尾加“’”。例如:students’ bk 学生用书
②如果表示两(几)个人共同拥有, 在最后一个名词的词尾加“’s”;如果表示两(几)个人各自拥有, 则须在每个名词后都加上“’s”。例如: Jan and Helen’s father 琼和海伦的父亲(两个人的父亲是同一个人)Jan’s and Helen’s rms 琼的房间和海伦的房间(两个人各自拥有一个房间)

一、’ s 所有格 表示有生命的人或动物的名词所有格, 单数名词和不以 s 结尾的复数名词一般在词尾加 “ ’ s”,以 s 结尾的复数名词只在词尾加“ ’ ”。例如: Kate’s cat 凯特的猫, Children’s Day 儿童节, the girls’ bks 女孩们的书
二、f 所有格 ▲无生命事物名词的所属关系, 一般常用“ f + 名词”来表示,即 f 所有格。例如:a map f China 一幅中国地图 the legs f the table 桌子的腿 ▲f 所有格与 ’ s 所有格有时可以互换,不过要注意它们物主的位置不同。例如:
这只猫猫的名字是咪咪。 The name f the cat is Mimi. (f 结构,物主 the cat在后) The cat’s name is Mimi. (’s 结构,物主 the cat 在前 )
2. —Hw ld are yu? ——你多大了?—I’m fifteen. ——我十五岁了。hw ld意为“多大年纪;几岁”,常用于询问年龄。回答时可以直接用基数词表示,也可以用“基数词 + year (s) ld”表示。
“What’s ... age?”和“Hw ld is / are ”意思相同, 可互换。例如:What’s yur age? = Hw ld are yu?你多大了?
