1．能听、说、认读单词：cup，dig，famous，gift，goodbye，hole。

2．正确理解课文，能用语言表达过去已发生的事情。

重点：掌握单词，熟读课文，理解并运用一般过去时。

难点：能用语言表达过去已发生的事情，并能用一段话试着写出来。

Step 1　热身(Warm­up)

师生问候打招呼，并进行口语对话。

T：Morning!

Ss：Morning！Nice to meet you.

T：Nice to meet you，too!

Step 2　复习(Review)

1．出示课件内容，用以复习一般现在时和一般过去时。

a．I ________(wash) the dishes yesterday.

b．I ________(see) him yesterday.

c．I ________(buy) a new book last Friday.

d．Jenny often ________(go) to the park with her mother.

2．课件展示著名运动员张怡宁、姚明、王浩等的图片，然后师生展开讨论。

T：Do you know who she is?

Ss：She is Zhang Yining.

Step 3　新课呈现(Presentation)

1．PPT出示足球明星贝利获奖的照片，问学生：

T：Do you know who he is?

Ss：He is Pele. He is a famous football player.

教学：famous

继续看PPT图片介绍：

In 1958，the 17­year­old boy and his team won the World Cup. He was famous around the world.

T：Do you know the story of Pele?

Ss：Yes，we do.

2．用播放幻灯片的形式让学生观看课文图片(并伴有字幕出现)。

3．学生按以下步骤自学课文，并回答下列问题。

自学课文——不懂的单词做记号——画出不理解的单词和句子——全班交流——学生帮学生解决问题——教师帮学生解决问题

Why did the boy use boxes and bottles as his footballs?

Why did the coach give him a football as a gift?

What can you learn from Pele?

4．教师讲解课文中出现的知识点。

(1)give sb sth.

Can you give me some gifts?

(2)like to do sth.

I like to swim now.

(3)want to do sth.

Do you want to play football?

5．再次播放课件，加深对课文的理解和整体认识。

6．学生分角色朗读课文。

Step 4　操练(Practice)

教师运用多媒体播放A部分踢球场面，依次定格在某一画面上，请学生描述，有意识地复习归纳本课的内容。

Step 5　巩固和拓展(Consolidation and Extension)

1．课件展示几张不同体育明星的图片，学生看几分钟，图片消失，然后找一位学生用英语描述出现的人物，请其他学生猜出照片上的人物是谁。

2．做同步练习。
