Have the students discuss the things they would like to receive on New Year’s Day. e.g. T: New Year’s Day is coming. Look at these things. What do you want? T: Oh, it’s a firecracker. On New Year’s Day, many people like to set off firecrackers. A firecracker for you. |

Activity 3 Have the students work in groups to make a New Year card. Then have them take turns explaining how to make one. Activity 4 Have the students work in groups of four and make a short dialogue. They should substitute sweets, dress and firework with some other words they have learnt. |
